How many countries have you visited? If you had to pick one to go back to, which would it be?
I just checked off my 50th country (Montenegro), and have traveled to all 7 continents. I am dying to go back to Slovenia!
What’s the place you most want to visit that you haven’t been to yet?
Iceland is at the top of my list.
Peru
Why is it important for travel to make a positive impact?
Travel is a powerful force for connection, understanding, and growth. When done responsibly, it can support local communities, preserve natural and cultural heritage, and foster mutual respect between travelers and destinations. By ensuring that travel makes a positive impact, we can help create a sustainable future where exploration enriches not just the traveler but also the places and people they visit.
What’s the most surreal travel experience you’ve had?
One of the most surreal travel experiences I’ve had was standing on the deck of an icebreaker ship in Antarctica, surrounded by a sea of endless white under a sun that never set. Watching penguins dive into the icy water and being surrounded by humpback whales was like being on another planet!

Which was the most memorable property you've ever stayed at? Why?
The most memorable property I’ve ever stayed at was Jack’s Camp in Botswana. It felt like stepping back in time with its vintage safari aesthetic, Persian rugs, and four-poster beds under billowing canvas tents. What made it unforgettable was the surreal landscape combined with once-in-a-lifetime experiences like quad biking across the pans, walking with meerkats, and stargazing in the clearest skies I’ve ever seen. It was a perfect blend of adventure, luxury, and connection to nature.
What item can you not travel without?
I can’t travel without my journal. It’s where I jot down memories, observations, and little details about each destination that photos just can’t capture. Whether it’s a stunning view, a delicious meal, or a meaningful conversation with a local, having a place to record those moments helps me truly savor the journey and relive it long after I’ve returned home.
Pick one of your favorite photos from your travels and explain why.
This photo, taken in 2017 in front of the erupting Mount Agung in Bali, is one of my favorites because it captures the raw power and unpredictability of nature. It was a reminder of the resilience of the Balinese people, who carry on with grace and devotion despite nature’s challenges.
