In high school, I had some amazing teachers who led student trips and I took advantage by traveling to France and Greece. I loved these experiences so much that I started working in educational student travel after school and I've worked in the travel industry ever since. For the last 10 years, I've worked in luxury travel and I'm extremely passionate about creating bespoke experiences for clients to enjoy the unending list of destinations around the world.
How many countries have you visited? If you had to pick one to go back to, which would it be?
I've traveled to 75 countries and I'd go back to any of them. If I had to pick one I'd say Zambia or rally any African safari destination. You can go a dozen times and each experience will be different.
What’s the place you most want to visit that you haven’t been to yet?
Madagascar, I've been fortunate to travel to many places in Africa and I'd love to see firsthand how the uniqueness of Madagascar compares.

Why is it important for travel to make a positive impact?
I'm most passionate about travel that is centered around incredible wildlife experiences whether it be safari in Africa or spotting tigers in India. Tourism plays an amazing role in helping to protect our most vulnerable ecosystems by funding systems that protect wildlife. However, it's also crucial to ensure that travel is done in a way that doesn't exploit or interfere with wildlife. Working in travel over the last 20 years I've seen some amazing progress made in terms of animal welfare as it relates to tourism.
What’s the most surreal travel experience you’ve had?
Seeing a wildebeest river crossing in Tanzania. It was one of the most dramatic and intense experiences I've ever witnessed. My guide worked hard to get us in the right place at the right time and the result was an awe-inspiring scene that showcased the power, vulnerability, and resilience of nature. Words really can't do it justice.
Pick one of your favorite photos from your travels and explain why.
I took this picture on a trip to Antarctica. We couldn't make a landing on shore that day because there was too much snow so we instead took out a zodiac to explore the incredible icebergs. It was so stunning and eerily quiet which was different than most of the spots we had visited which were covered in noisy penguins. I saw this penguin taking a break between two massive icebergs and thought it captured the experience of Antarctica well.

Which was the most memorable property you've ever stayed at? Why?
Kaya Mawa on Likoma Island in Lake Malawi. After an epic safari in Tanzania, this incredibly beautiful property could not have been a better place to relax in an idyllic setting. The special touches and unique experiences were unforgettable.
What item can you not travel without?
An AirTag. After my luggage traveled to every corner of India without me for a week, I'll never again not at least know where it is!
