In February, Vietnam experiences mild to warm weather with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F), making it an ideal time to visit. This month marks the end of the cool and dry season in the north and the onset of spring in the south, creating pleasant conditions for exploring the country's diverse landscapes and cultural attractions. With fewer crowds and comfortable temperatures, February offers an excellent opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities, such as hiking in Sapa, cruising in Halong Bay, or relaxing on the beaches of Da Nang and Nha Trang.

As soon as you deplane, an Immigration Officer will meet you holding a signboard with your names on it.

The officer will assist you with immigration procedures. For those who already have their Vietnam visa, the estimated time to clear immigration is approximately 15-20mins per person.

For those applying for a visa on arrival, the estimated wait time for the visa is usually 30mins, depending on the number of guests in the queue.

After clearing immigration, our Immigration Officer will escort you to the baggage claim to collect your luggage and introduce you to your guide who will be waiting outside the terminal.

Morning in Hanoi: Start your day by exploring the city's charm. Begin with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (open for a couple of hours in the morning).

Continue to Ho Chi Minh's House and the One Pillar Pagoda, a symbol of Vietnamese prayers for sons. Visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, and the Hanoi Hilton, a significant site from the Vietnam War.

Conclude with a visit to the Ethnology Museum (closed on Monday) for insights into Vietnam's ethnic minorities. Enjoy a cyclo tour through the bustling Old Quarter's alleyways, dating back to the 13th century, before returning to your hotel for leisure.

In the evening, meet with your guide at the hotel and get ready for an exciting night food tour. Enjoy an evening walking food tour through the streets of Hanoi, considered a mecca for delicious street food.

Temples of the Forest and Angkor Wat

Collected from your hotel lobby you will take the road to Srah Srang and then Ta Prohm (11km), pausing to collect your entry passes at the Archaeological Park Entrance.

Take your time to walk through the temple from the West entrance to the East entrance enjoying this world-renowned temple in the early morning light. Pause for a light breakfast around this peaceful area before exploring the lightly visited temple of Ta Nei. There is a reasonable chance of having this beautiful Angkor temple to yourself to explore.

The temple is busy at any time of day, but late morning is the quietest time to explore and admire this architectural wonder and the world class bas reliefs.

Explore the well preserved central complex and detailed bas-reliefs depicting scenes from Hindu mythologies and battles of the ancient empire. The beauty in balance and composition, combined with its sheer vast scale ensure Angkor Wat’s place as the crowning achievement in Khmer art and architecture. This is truly one of travel’s remaining great adventures.

Start your morning with a leisurely 4km (2.5 miles) bike ride through the countryside, heading to Tra Que Vegetable Village. Observe local farmers working the fields using traditional methods that date back hundreds of years. If you don't mind getting your hands dirty, change into some work clothes provided by the villagers and join the farmers in watering the plants or fertilizing the land. Take a break next to the water wheel or try your hand at some traditional musical instruments. Learn how to prepare and hand-grind rice to make rice paper which is then grilled over a charcoal fire which is eaten as a crunchy snack.

Depart for a local fishing village and spend some time learning about the fishermen's simple yet rewarding way of life in the area. Board a local river boat and start cruising down the Cua Dai River with a stop along the shore and try your hand at casting the Vietnamese fishing nets, an age-old technique still used today. Learn the art of paddling the unique Vietnamese round basket boats and travel through the tranquil waterways.
