In September, Napa Valley and Sonoma experience some of their most delightful weather, perfect for visiting vineyards and enjoying outdoor activities. Daytime temperatures typically range from the low to mid-80s Fahrenheit (around 27-31°C), providing warm and sunny days ideal for exploring the picturesque landscapes and participating in harvest season events. Nights are cooler, with temperatures dropping to the low 50s (about 11-13°C), so packing layers is recommended for comfort throughout the day and evening.

Rainfall is minimal during this month, with both regions averaging only a few millimeters, ensuring mostly dry conditions that enhance the overall experience of wine tastings and vineyard tours.
