Just across the bay from Stillpoint Lodge, Homer's 6,700 foot runway can accommodate private jets -- and offers full fuel service at the Kachemak Jet Center FBO. Homer is one of the few remote airports in Alaska with this capability.
The lodge will then arrange transportation from your plane to the lodge via luxury SUV and boat.

Once you arrive at the docks, you will be greeted by the lodge staff. Get settled in and enjoy a delicious gourmet meal for dinner.
The village of Halibut Cove, Alaska, is rich with history. Stillpoint Lodge is situated within the tribal lands of the Seldovia Village Tribe, whose descendants trace their roots from the ancient Kachemak Bay peoples and today's Dena'ina and Sugpiaq people. Stillpoint acknowledges this land and the indigenous people who reside here still and have made innumerable contributions to the region.
Originally settled in 1911 by Scandinavian fishermen, many of Halibut Cove’s residents still fish for salmon, halibut, and pacific cod in Kachemak Bay. Local shellfish farmers also take advantage of the deep, crystal clear, nutrient dense waters for sustainably growing oysters and blue mussels.
A high proportion of residents are artists who exhibit their work at a local gallery on the island. The cove provides a majestic setting for a unique experience.
Home to one of the only floating post offices in the U.S., Halibut Cove is Alaskan coastal living at its finest. Isolated and quaint, with only 23 year-round residents, the close proximity to Homer just 10 miles across the bay, makes the cove an ideal basecamp for your Alaska vacation.
Stillpoint is a captivating experience that offers the perfect blend of natural beauty and modern comforts. Access remote Alaska's enchanting wild lands, exhilarating adventures, and abundant wildlife in harmony with inspiring accommodations, elevated cuisine, and uncompromising hospitality.

Join your professional bear guide/pilot for an unforgettable day in the wilderness of Southcentral Alaska. From the helipad, you will be flown to a nearby glacier in the mountains above Kachemak Bay. You will have the opportunity to safely walk around on the glacier.
From the glacier, you will head toward Mount Saint Augustine, a steaming, island volcano located in Cook Inlet. This closely monitored, active volcano rises over 4,000 feet above the ocean and is often snow-capped until mid-summer. Enjoy a moment to hike around and take in the breathtaking views from a place rarely accessed by humans.
Last, and certainly not least, you will travel west to the most-densely populated brown bear country in the world, the Alaska Peninsula. Your pilot has scouted an ideal landing area where you will be able to watch the brown bears in their natural habitat as they fatten up for the coming winter on salmon. Your ultimate safari will end where it began at our helipad, usually just in time for happy hour and dinner.
