Today's adventure will begin with a scenic drive along the Seward Highway to your next destination, followed by a remarkable cruise.

Your private driver will share the area's history as you make your way along the Scenic Byway to the coastal town of Seward, Gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. The Seward Highway showcases natural beauty of Southcentral Alaska between Anchorage and Seward. From jagged peaks and alpine meadows to breathtaking fjords and crystal lakes, you will find a concentrated series of diverse landscapes and experiences. Day 5: Exit Glacier Ice Hiking

You can expect a full day of hiking and exploring the beauty of Alaska today.

Hiking Exit Glacier

Exit Glacier is one of the most accessible glaciers in all of Alaska and is the only part of Kenai Fjords National Park that is accessible by road. Take advantage of the unique opportunity to walk on a glacier during this full-day guided experience. Begin your journey at the Exit Glacier Nature Center where interpretive displays showcase the glacier's history over thousands of years. A guide will meet you there to begin the hike along the picturesque path that will take you to the glacier. The approximately 1.6-mile hike includes a mixture of backcountry and on-trail trekking as elevation is gained, taking in the stunning views around you. Upon reaching the glacier's edge, put on crampons for the 1-2 hour experience on the glacier, exploring the unique features in the ice. This tour is the perfect experience for outdoor enthusiasts who really want to explore Alaska in a meaningful way.

Day 6: Travel to Homer

Travel on the Sterling Highway to Homer where you will spend the next couple of days. Enjoy a wildlife cruise after getting settled.

Scenic Drive from Seward to Homer

Today you will travel on the Sterling Highway to Homer. The highway passes through the Chugach National Forest and Kenai National Wildlife Refuge which is home to Dall sheep, mountain goats, brown and black bears, caribou, and moose, all which are viewable from the road. The world-renowned Kenai River also runs along the highway for a few miles. Many lakes, rivers, and streams are viewable from the road that makes the Kenai Peninsula famous. This southern route runs along the western edge of the Kenai Peninsula and features extraordinary mountain scenery, sparkling lakes, glacier-fed streams, and beautiful coastal inlets.

Seldovia Wildlife Cruise

Embark from Homer on a fully narrated tour through Kachemak Bay to the coastal community of Seldovia. Cruise through Gull Island seabird rookery (home to 15,000 seabirds) and search for wildlife that may include eagles, pelagic seabirds and even whales and sea otters. Venture towards the Eldred Passage and intake the local geology and history from the trained and educated crew. Arrive in Seldovia and explore this beautiful and quaint Alaskan community, featuring restaurants and cafes for lunch, trails to hike, boardwalks to stroll and shopping. You may even catch a salmon from the slough. Return to Homer in the evening and continue watching for whales, otters and marine life along the way.

Travel from Homer to Girdwood

This morning, you will travel from Homer to the mountain town of Girdwood. The drive is incredibly scenic, taking you through both mountainous and coastal zones by way of the Sterling and Seward Highways. Girdwood is nestled among the breathtaking Turnagain Arm and spectacular Mt. Alyeska. Girdwood, originally named Glacier City, was founded as a gold mining camp at the turn of the century. This quaint town has evolved from a mining operation into Alaska's only year-round resort community.

Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center provides an up close and personal experience with the most famous Alaskan wildlife! Stand a few feet from a large brown bear, see a bison herd graze with mountain peaks in the background, watch wolves play with their pack, and even catch a glimpse of the elusive wolverine. This 200 acre animal sanctuary is located in the heart of Turnagain Arm between Anchorage and Seward and is home to dozens of rescued wild animals. Depending on the time of year, you may fish for Rainbow Trout, Chinook Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Coho Salmon, and Dolly Varden. Today you will travel north on the Parks Highway to Denali National Park, passing through the Mat-Su valley before arriving at the Denali Park Entrance. Most park services and your hotel are located there. Covering more than 6 million acres, Denali National Park is one of North America’s best locations to view a wide variety of wildlife in a spectacular setting. Weather permitting, you may see Denali, North America’s highest peak at 20,320 feet.

Once you've arrived at Denali, get checked in and settled before your flightseeing experience departs.
