In early August, Denali, Alaska experiences mild temperatures, typically ranging from the mid-40s to the mid-60s Fahrenheit. The weather is generally partly cloudy with occasional rain showers, but visitors can also expect some clear, sunny days perfect for outdoor activities and enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding wilderness.
Once you've arrived in Anchorage, gather your things and get ready for a scenic air taxi to your accommodation at Chelatna Lake Lodge.
Your flight will cover some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. On a clear day, you will see majestic Denali, North America's tallest peak, and the breathtaking thirty-five mile long Kahiltna Glacier ice field of Denali National Park, as well as unnamed mountains, lakes and rivers too numerous to count. In less than an hour, your air-taxi will deliver you right to the doorstep on the shore of Chelatna Lake.
