In May & June, while the weather may be wetter during this time, it also brings lush green landscapes, blooming flowers, and fewer crowds, making it an excellent time to explore popular destinations. U.S. citizens traveling to Thailand for tourism purposes can enter the country without a visa for stays of up to 30 days.
The national currency of Thailand is the Thai Baht (THB). ATMs are ubiquitous, although some may have limits on the amount you can withdraw in one day. You should check with your bank that your card will work abroad. Note that whilst hotels, major stores & high-end restaurants will take cards, it’s still very much a cash society. We also suggest traveling with some USD which you can change in an emergency from one of the many currency exchange vendors.

You are scheduled to land in Doha in the afternoon. Follow the transit instructions, and connect to your flight to Bangkok, which is scheduled to depart in the evening.
On arrival in Bangkok, you will have Fast Track service to expedite your arrival. An airport representative will meet you at the aircraft bridge with a welcome signboard to accompany you through immigration and baggage claim to the Arrivals Hall.
The representative will introduce you to your driver, who will take you to the hotel.

Bangkok claims to be the city that never stops eating. People in Bangkok usually find themselves enjoying eating even at midnight. So, what would be a better idea than to explore the city of angels and visit the best local eateries after sunset? Once the moon has risen, visit the local favorite places to eat. Taste a variety of savory menus, including the local favorite “Kao Mun Kai” (Hainanese chicken rice) at Pratunam Area, and the town’s best Pad Thai Noodles at Pratuphi Area. Then visit old-town landmarks and temples for a different perspective, to observe the sheer beauty of age-old buildings lit up at night. Discover the side of Bangkok that is totally unknown to visitors. Finish the evening with a cocktail at a rooftop bar, before returning to your hotel.

Highlights include The Erawan Shrine & Central Business District, climbing the Golden Mount at Wat Saket, Wat Pho & Reclining Buddha, and a private boat ride in the canals.

Located just 9 miles from Chiang Mai is Wat Phra That on Doi Suthep Mountain. Set amidst a beautifully forested mountain setting, Wat Phra That is considered one of Northern Thailand’s most sacred temples. Founded in 1383 AD, Wat Phra That is reached by climbing 309 steps or if you prefer a funicular is available. Inside the temple compounds, explore the pagodas, statues, bells, and shrines and notice how elements of the temple draw from both Buddhism and Hinduism. Enjoy the superb panoramic view of the city.
Next, head to the magical temple of tunnels - Wat Umong, and wander the labyrinthine paths to discover Buddha heads, relics, altars and
monk cells.

Head to an ethical elephant camp, where you can hear the personal stories of the rescued and orphaned elephants that you meet. See how they became free from abuse for the first time in their lives, and are free to socialize, play, and toss dirt on their backs as they please. Take part in feeding fruit to these magnificent creatures before enjoying your own vegetarian buffet meal. Enjoy Roaming, feeding, and bathing with the elephant.
