This morning, you’ll be met at your hotel by your expert local guide, ready to head out and get your first taste of Thailand. Our first stop is the Grand Palace, a majestic complex that served as the residence of the Kings of Thailand for over two centuries. Marvel at the intricate design and craftsmanship of the buildings, walls, and gardens, the intricately detailed murals, and learn about the history and significance of this impressive landmark.
Next, we’ll hop on a tuk-tuk for a short, but exciting ride to Wat Pho, one of the oldest and largest temples in Bangkok. Famous for its reclining Buddha statue, Wat Pho is also home to numerous other Buddha images, impressive architecture, and beautiful murals. Take your time to explore the temple grounds and soak in the peaceful atmosphere.
After we have finished exploring Wat Pho, we’ll make a short journey over to Wat Prayun, a lesser-known but equally impressive temple complex, built during the reign of King Rama III in the 19th century, which boasts a unique stupa design and serene atmosphere. The temple is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, offering stunning views across the water and surrounding areas.
Following this, we’ll take a quick break from sightseeing to enjoy a delicious Thai lunch at a local restaurant.
Next, it’s time to try a different mode of transport as we take a short longtail boat ride through the Khlongs (canals) of Bangkok. This is a great way to experience the local way of life, see traditional wooden houses and local shops, and escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a while.
Our final stop will be the Mahanakorn Tower, one of Bangkok’s tallest skyscrapers. More intrepid travelers may wish to step out on the glass-floored observation deck and skywalk located on the 74th floor. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the city and take in the stunning sunset scenery.
This day out in Bangkok offers a perfect mix of history, culture, relaxation, and adventure and is a great way to experience the best of Bangkok in a day.

Depart the hotel in the early morning for a full day visiting two unique markets.
An early start is needed as it’s about an hour and a half drive outside the city. The first stop will be Maeklong Railway Market. Afterwards, enjoy a local lunch before heading to another market; either Damnoen Saduak or Tha Ka floating market, depending on the day.
Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub)
At first glance there’s nothing special about Maeklong Railway Market – typical vendors selling grilled skewers, mango, crabs, or cold drinks. But when the train’s whistle sounds, the market instantly swings into motion as vendors pack away their goods and wait for the train to pass. This ritual repeats itself throughout the day.
Lunch at a local restaurant included
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
After arriving at the pier, board a long-tail boat for a ride through the canals. The initial stretch of the river is lined with both wooden and concrete houses. The main market area is chaotic and charismatic, with hawkers and boats brimming with fruit.

This evening, hop into one of Thailand’s most iconic modes of transport, the Tuk Tuk, and ride through some of Bangkok’s coolest, and tastiest, neighborhoods.
You’ll kick off with a departure from your hotel by private Tuk Tuk in the late afternoon. Whip through the streets of Bangkok on the way to sample a few popular local dishes and street side snacks.
The first stop will be Bangrak, a trendy district just a short distance from the Chao Phraya River. Spend some time exploring the Bangrak Bazaar and the surrounding streets as your guide introduces you to some more tasty treats.
Chinatown is the next stop on the list, a chaotic community that is well known for its delicious street-side food stalls. The first stop here will be exploring Chinatown’s Yaowarat Road, a highlight of the city famed for the spectacular array of street food hawkers. Finally, you’ll diverge onto Chinatown’s Soi Nana and Maitri Chit Road, home to an eclectic mix of cafes and hip bars. We’ll explore some more unique flavors and street food treats throughout Chinatown before ending the journey with a couple of options.
Families with children may prefer to go and sample some delicious dessert stalls offering freshly made soy milk and sweet dumplings, while adult groups may wish to pay a visit to Tep Bar. Tep Bar offers a trendy hangout paying homage to all things Thai. They have Thai xylophones and cymbals, Thai tapas, and cocktails with names borne from ancient Thai lore. Dine on tapas which is served a-la-carte – we recommend the moo sarong (pork balls wrapped in yellow noodles and fried) and the Khao Kriab wow (rice crackers served with chili paste). For friskier travelers, try a shot of Ya Dong (Thai moonshine infused with herbs).
The trip will end around 9 pm, but you have the option to hang around. Should you choose to stay later, your guide can give you advice and directions on how to return to the hotel.
Please Note: The above routing is subject to change. We can tailor the routing based on your interests and particular preferences.

Why we love it for you: With great views of the Andaman Sea, this resort is one of our favorites in Phuket. The location of the resort essentially means that the peaceful bay in front of the resort is private. It's conveniently located close to the airport, as well as areas of interest, but far enough from the action to provide a feeling of peace and tranquility.
