In February, Thailand experiences warm and dry weather, with temperatures ranging from 25 to 32 degrees Celsius (77 to 89.6 degrees Fahrenheit). This makes it an excellent time to visit popular destinations like Bangkok and the islands in the Gulf of Thailand.

Similarly, Vietnam experiences cool and pleasant weather during February, with temperatures ranging from 17 to 24 degrees Celsius (62.6 to 75.2 degrees Fahrenheit). This makes it an ideal month to explore various regions of Vietnam, from the northern mountains to the southern Mekong Delta.

Holders of US passports are among those not required to obtain a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes and will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period not exceeding 45 days on each visit. A visa will be required to visit Vietnam, and assistance will be provided to secure this in advance.

Once settled into your hotel, enjoy an afternoon visit to Wat Chedi Luang, a historic temple that once housed the Emerald Buddha, now held in Bangkok’s Wat Phra Kaew. Visit the jade replica in this impressive temple built between the 14th and 15th centuries. Continue to Wat Suan Dok, just outside the ancient city walls of Chiang Mai.

The temple was built in the 14th century by King Keu Na of Lanna to accommodate important priests visiting from Sukhothai, and to
be a place for local monks to shelter from the rain. And then enjoy a short rickshaw ride through the quiet streets of the old town before returning to your hotel.

Today you will visit Maya Bay, the most famous beach on Phi Phi Island, Pileh Cove, monkey beach, and Viking Cave, which was renamed “Tam Phaya Nak” by H.M. King Bhumibhol when he visited the cave in 1972. ‘Tam Phaya Nak’ means the cave of Naga; the great serpent of Buddhist legend. It is a place much revered by the local people who came here to collect the swift’s nests that were used to make Bird Nest Soup; a Chinese delicacy.

Phi Phi Lay Island is composed of limestone and steep cliffs rising from the sea. This is a good place for sightseeing, snorkeling, and swimming. There are many nice beaches with white sand to visit. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant on Phi Phi Don Island. You can also purchase drinks and pay the restaurant directly. In the afternoon, you will visit other locations for swimming or snorkeling, such as Bamboo island, an island with a nice white sandy beach.

Depart early morning for the two hour drive to the Damnoen Saduak floating market. En route, first visit the Maeklong Railway Market. The name says it all: it is a market which has a train running right through the middle of it, multiple times a day.

The market offers everything you expect a Thai market to offer but the Maeklong Railway Market differentiates itself from the other markets by having a railway located in the middle.

Then continue the drive to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, to see the traditional way of selling and buying goods in Thailand. Drive back to Bangkok and arrive at the hotel in time for lunch.

The officer will assist you with immigration procedures. For those who already have their Vietnam visa, the estimated time to clear immigration is approximately 15-20 mins per person.

For those applying for a visa on arrival, the estimated wait time for the visa is usually 30 mins, depending on the number of guests in the queue.

Between the 15th and 19th centuries, Hoi An known then as 'Faifo', was a prosperous trading port, attracting ships from various countries.

Hoi An's narrow lanes are ideal for a guided walking tour of its many atmospheric sights including: old merchant houses with influences from Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese architecture; the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge (under renovation), first built in the 1590s by the Japanese community to link them with the Chinese quarters across the stream; the Assembly Hall of the Chaozhou Chinese Congregation with its intricate woodcarvings; and the colorful market with stalls brimming with local specialties including silk, which can be turned into fashionable garments within a day or two.
