Arusha is located at the foothills of Mount Meru on the eastern side of the Great Rift Valley. This is the gateway to the northern safari circuit, with easy access to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Mount Meru. Its elevation of 1,400 m (4,600 ft) keeps temperatures relatively cool despite proximity to the equator; temperatures generally range between 10 and 30 C (50 and 86F), with little humidity due to the altitude.
Located on a working coffee estate on the outskirts of Arusha, Legendary Lodge is an upscale sanctuary where guest-centric service ensures your every comfort is catered to. The gateway to the northern Tanzania safari circuit, the lodge — with its spacious cottages and tropical gardens — is the perfect setting to prepare for, or reflect on, your safari.
Deluxe Garden Cottage
Scattered among the manicured lawns and connected by winding footpaths, the lodge’s 10 single-bedroom cottages strike the perfect balance between old-world elegance and contemporary comfort. Each features plush, four-poster beds within billowing mosquito nets and an ensuite bathroom, replete with deep soaking bathtubs and a rainfall shower. Private verandas and lounges, along with a spacious dressing room and the latest in-room amenities, tie the experience together.

Singita Grumeti, situated adjacent to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, is an integral part of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, the home of the Great Migration. The reserve was created by the Tanzanian government in 1994 in order to protect the path of the annual wildebeest migration and the indigenous biodiversity of this vast, important ecosystem. In 2002, the Grumeti Community and Wildlife Conservation Fund (now known as the Grumeti Fund), a not-for-profit organization, was granted the right to manage and conserve the 350,000 acres.
Singita took over management of the property to enhance low impact luxury tourism. The area has the benefit of few lodges and so provides an exclusive game viewing experience in a very high quality game area. Other than black rhino, all of the big five are present. Even outside of the May-June peak when the migration comes through, the reserve has very good resident wildlife.
Sabora Tented Camp is set in a large area of protected wilderness in Singita Grumeti, which provides guests with a front-row seat to some of the most prized game viewing on the continent. Singita Sabora Tented Camp charts a visionary new course for luxury adventures under canvas. A destination perfect for travellers yearning for an African safari infused with the continent’s contemporary energy and enveloped in unrivaled levels of comfort. It features mindfully created interiors with a rich combination of textures, forward-thinking and functional aesthetics, and a modern interpretation of the quintessential elements of a romantic tented safari.
Tent
Singita Sabora Tented Camp has nine self-contained suites that all include private pantries, dining and fitness areas, as well as meditation decks, where guests can rest, relax and immerse themselves in wellness activities like outdoor yoga. Outdoor salas with secluded daybeds overlook one of Sabora’s two waterholes and make for uninterrupted game-viewing.

Offering superb game-viewing opportunities all year round, the camp is also set on the Great Wildebeest Migration route, and guided game walks on foot further enhance experiencing the Serengeti plains up close.
There is also a swimming pool, fitness centre, boutique & gallery, and spa. Wine experiences, community visits, and a visit to the anti-poaching observation post are also possible.

A veritable Garden of Eden, the Ngorongoro Crater is only 260 km2 (100mi2) in size yet has some of the highest densities of lion and spotted hyena found anywhere in the world. The view from the crater rim at 2,000 feet above the floor is nothing short of breathtaking. The thick mountain forests of the crater highlands strike a sharp contrast with the short grass plains of the crater floor with its yellow fever Acacia woodlands and streams. The soda lake Magadi in the center of the crater floor sometimes attracts lesser flamingos, and the area is known for very large tusked elephants, black rhino, and great predator action.
The three million year old Ngorongoro Crater was once a gigantic volcano that some suggest was even higher than Mt Kilimanjaro. It is the largest intact caldera in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Walks are available on the rim in certain areas, but game viewing on the crater floor is strictly by vehicle and on designated game drive routes. Local pastoralists and their villages surround the western side of the crater whilst the eastern side is heavily forested up to the farming town of Karatu.
Here, a company defines their own Ngorongoro, off the beaten track, in Maasai territory. Following one of the world’s most stunning private drives, they bring you up to a dizzying edge of elemental Africa with panoramic views spinning forward into the Crater and back to the Serengeti plains. This is much more than a great vantage point for visiting the Crater, this is where they live the Ngorongoro life. There is surely no truer way to appreciate the magnitude and wonder of the Ngorongoro Crater, than from their location where it's done entirely on your own terms and schedules.
The camp is designed to be removable; stunning cottage-style rooms sit raised on platforms that can be dismantled and taken away. Interiors are of sustainably sourced wood and everything within the camp is locally sourced and made by talented Tanzanian artisans. Extraordinary care has been taken to ensure minimal disturbance to the environment, and not so much as a bush has been removed to make way for the camp.
Cottage-Style Room
Entamanu Ngorongoro has seven Cottage-Style Rooms elevated on wooden platforms. Each room has indoor heating and en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water, and flush loos. Every effort has been made to create comfort in this elemental place.

Entamanu Ngorongoro (meaning ‘circle’ in Maa) is the only place in the world where you can enjoy views into both the Crater and the Serengeti. Offering an unspoiled, unparalleled experience of the Crater, and the land and culture that surrounds it. It is a place to escape to, from which to learn and understand where the Crater fits as part of the wider environment.
Activities include game drives into the Crater, explorations of the surrounding highlands, guided walks, bush picnics, sundowners, and interactions with neighboring communities.

There is also endemic wildlife in the Johazi Forest.
