Today, together with a hiking guide, you will embark on one of the most popular hikes in Switzerland! The 5-lakes hike is one of the most beautiful panoramic mountain hikes in Switzerland.
From Zermatt you will be taking the Cogwheel up to Sunnegga. From here, the 5 Lakes hike starts.
High above the timberline, a mountain trail winds through the ever-changing alpine landscape, passing five mountain lakes - each with its own unique character.

Day 7: Swiss Scenery

Mission Waterfalls

Discover the beauty of the waterfalls in the Lauterbrunnen valley! From Lucerne, you will take the train to Lauterbrunnen. In this picturesque village, you will visit the huge, famous Trummelbach Falls—big, impressive waterfalls inside the mountain.
From the Trummelbach Falls it is only a short walk to the base of the Schilthorn Gondola, where you will be carried up to Gimmelwald. You will stop at this tiny little village, before you will take the gondola further up to Murren, enjoying the scenery along the ride.
If the weather plays its part, from there you can also take a gondola that goes up the famous mountain Schilthorn. Wonderful views are waiting for you: part of the James Bond Movie «On her majesty’s secret service» was filmed up here.
