Today you transfer from Zurich to the start of the Alps and the gorgeous Lake Lucerne, with a fun activity on the way: an awe-inspiring hike through the Swiss Alps.

Enjoy a panoramic hiking tour with a private English-speaking guide. Your route is known as one of Switzerland's finest high trails: the ridge path linking the Klingenstock and Fronalpstock peaks, with its many flights of steps. It affords views of more than ten Swiss lakes and countless Alpine peaks in Central Switzerland. Along the route, discover a variety of Alpine flowers. The journey to the starting point of this hike is already quite an experience! To reach the car-free village of Stoos (1,300 m.a.s.l.), you can choose between the Morschach-Stoos cable car and the world's steepest funicular (Schwyz/Schlattli-Stoos).
At its steepest point, the funicular has a gradient of 110 percent. Cross the little mountain village on foot, and then take the chairlift up to the Klingenstock. Of course, you can also make the ascent on foot. The sky-high ridge path starts at the summit: with 360o panoramic views all the way, you hike westwards via Rot Turm to Nollen.

All distances are easily covered, and cycle paths are clearly marked. The tour will start at the arch monument in front of the train station. From there you will cycle downstream beside the Reuss, passing Chapel Bridge, Water Tower, the Jesuit Church and the old city walls. You will ride along the public river beach and Kleine Emme river. After that, the cycle path narrows and you can stop to admire the wooden sculptures placed one after the other by the river, as well as the three mighty Lucerne peaks: Pilatus, Rigi and Stanserhorn.
