Your trip to Spain will allow you to explore the beauty of Mallorca, the jewel of the Balearic islands. Here, we invite you to unwind and enjoy the pristine beaches and infinite ocean views; this week is a true sample of culture, exploration and relaxation!
Mallorca is an island fit for royalty—literally—since the 14th-century palace looming over the capital is still an official residence for Spain’s king and queen. Outside of the medieval walls, the rest of the city has been updated with some of the chicest restaurants, bars, and shopping in the Mediterranean, but the turquoise water and seaside cliffs of Mallorca’s beaches are still just as heavenly as they were centuries ago.

October is a fantastic month to visit the Balearic Islands. The days are comfortably warm without being stifling hot, and the Mediterranean is still warm enough to go swimming. Best of all, this is past tourist season, so you may just find a stretch of beach all to yourselves.

Mallorca's wild topography, remote hill towns and hidden coves invite you to step off the beaten path and unwind with no more troubles than re-filling your glass of chilled local wine. Here you can sail the turquoise waters of the mediterranean, lounge on a white sandy beach and enjoy the islands unique and oh-so-delicious gastronomy.
For your time in Mallorca we have planned minimal activities, and really invested in R&R and discovering secluded, quiet spots near the water. Your activities are planned around meals and beach excursions.
Just a few miles from your finca, you will find one of the most incredible natural wonders of Mallorca, the magnificent Artá Caves.
The Artá Caves are located on the coast in the municipality of Capdepera, in the Cap Vermell, surrounded by mountains that tower over the sea. The caves have been visited since times gone by and it is very likely that the island’s primitive inhabitants knew of them, as did the various populations that later inhabited the island.
Purchase your cave tickets here.

Artà features 25 kilometers of unspoiled coast. Their support for a sustainable touristic model has helped to preserve the pristine beaches, compared to other areas of the island that have been over-developed. Therefore, we can still enjoy these wild and beautiful beaches in their natural state.

Hop in your vehicle and drive through the landscapes of Mallorca—from countryside to mountains—on your way to Port Soller.
Why we love it for you: Even by Mallorca’s very high standards, Jumeirah Port Soller sits on some of the best real estate on the island. The hotel is built into the cliffside and is just a short walk from the beach, but bigger towns are easy to reach via one of the most scenic train rides in all of Spain. The wild north coast of Mallorca is known for its mountains, offering a completely different side of the island to break up days spent swimming in the Mediterranean.

To meet your tour guide today in the town of Soller, take the historic tram from Port Soller to Soller for a memorable ride. The Port Soller train station is just a 10-minute walk from your hotel, and the short tram ride is a scenic ride through the hills. When you arrive at Soller station, your guide will meet you upon arrival to hop on the real train.
Depart Hotel: Around 10 a.m.
Tram Departure: 10:25 a.m.
Tram Arrival in Soller: 10:40 a.m.
The tram is our recommended option to reach Soller. You may also call a taxi from your hotel if you prefer. We don't recommend using your rental car because of parking in Soller and you'll be wine tasting.
Some cities in the world, such as Lisbon, San Francisco or Melbourne, are famous for their historic tramways still in circulation. The one in Sóller has a peculiarity that makes it special compared to other urban streetcars: it joins the mountain and sea in a half-hour trip, from the valley in the heart of the Serra with the port and the beach. It's a wooden 1900's style wagon, offering not only an experience back in time but some of the most beautiful views of the island.
Take the scenic tram that departs not far from your hotel in Port de Soller into the town of Soller proper. From there, continue by train to Bunyola where your journey continues.
Meeting Time: Late morning
Meeting Place: Soller Train Station (your guide will meet you when you get off the Soller tram)
Booked by scenset
Upon arrival in Bunyola, your guide will take you to the nearby mountain town of Valldemosa. It's easily one of Mallorca's most charming little villages, with quaint alleyways, fuchsia bougainvillea plants, and charming stores.
Booked by scenset
After Valldemosa, visit a local winery to try some island wines. Mallorca's Mediterranean climate is perfect for vineyards, and it's quickly emerging as one of the tops regions for Spanish wines, which is saying a lot.
Your visit includes wine tastings as well as a light lunch of tapas.

Honeymoons unfortunately can't last forever, but the memories will last a lifetime. In Spain they don't say adiós, but rather hasta luego. Until next time!
