Cape Town is a true fan favorite, with its exciting Mediterranean vibe, amazing culinary scene, beautiful Cape Dutch architecture, thriving art community, and successful sports teams – all set to the backdrop of iconic Table Mountain and the turbulent waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It is no wonder it is called The Mother City. This vibrant, trendy city has broad appeal. Local attractions include Table Mountain, Robben Island, the V&A Waterfront, Bo-Kaap, boutique shops, numerous museums, wineries, and world-famous restaurants. For those venturing beyond the city, the Cape Winelands and Cape Peninsula are a day trip away. Cape Town’s rich cultural heritage dates back more than 300 years and its diversity is evident in the city’s architecture, art, and food. It is the second most populous city in South Africa and sits at the southwest tip of Africa.
Camissa House is a serene, mountainside hideaway found in the heart of Cape Town. A name given to this area of Cape Town by its first inhabitants, the Khoi people, means “Place of Sweet Water.” It is this life-giving stream, flowing directly past the hotel which prompted the Dutch to settle here, thus giving birth to the city of Cape Town as we know it today. Stepping out of the hotel, it is not hard to see where Camissa House’s design inspiration has been sourced. Table Mountain forms the backdrop for this lovely property and is the canvas for the Cape Floral Kingdom, one of the world’s great centers of terrestrial biodiversity. Camissa House is a celebration of Africa’s Cape, its heritage, its meandering history connecting mountain and sea, past to future, and humanity to the earth.
Luxury Room
Each Luxury Room is inspired by the unique Cape Floral Kingdom that surrounds it, celebrating the heritage of the landscape and the fauna and flora which bring it to life. These rooms are on the side of Camissa House and offer unique views of Table Mountain and the surrounding natural splendor.
Inclusions: Breakfast daily, afternoon tea, all house beverages, Wi-Fi, dinner transfer (within 10km of the hotel during the evening).

Scenset will provide you with our favorite recommendations for restaurants around Cape Town and the Winelands. We can then make dining reservations on your behalf!
Our day begins with a tour of Table Mountain to soak up panoramic vistas of the city and the surrounding oceans (weather permitting). We wander through the Company’s Garden and visit the South African Museum, before venturing on to the Castle of Good Hope. Built by the Dutch East India Company, between 1666 and 1679, as a maritime replenishment station, the Castle is the oldest surviving colonial building in the country. During our trip through the city, we pass the Houses of Parliament, the Grand Parade and City Hall - where Nelson Mandela first addressed South Africans after his release. Drop off at the vibrant V&A Waterfront for some time out to explore the restaurants, pubs and shops at your own leisure (or return to your hotel).

After a safety briefing, set out to Dyer Island, 8km from shore. Together with Geyser Rock nearby, this is home to 40,000 Cape Fur Seals, the Great White Shark’s favorite prey. The channel which runs between the two is known as Shark Alley and is where the boat will anchor and the cage be lowered into the water. Participants will be able to witness these incredible hunters of the deep from the protection of the cage. No diving experience is required as snorkeling equipment will be provided. While on the boat, participants will see seals and whales in season as well as sharks before heading back to base for a light lunch and refreshments.
Currently quoted for one participant. Let us know if both participants prefer to go on the boat, or if one participant would like to have the day at leisure in Cape Town while the other goes on this tour.

The Sabi Sand Game Reserve, named for the Sabie and Sand Rivers which flow through it, is renowned for its wildlife density and predator interactions; seldom will a visitor not see the Big Five. Although it shares a fenceless boundary with Kruger National Park, much of the wildlife in the Sabi Sand stays more or less in the reserve. Over the years, the animals have become used to the presence of safari vehicles, resulting in close encounters, particularly with the elusive leopards.
Roaming packs of African wild dogs, territorial lions, and large herds of elephants are also signature sightings. As well as having a consistently high density of wildlife, the reserve's conservation ethos keeps vehicle numbers to a minimum at wildlife sightings. This offers a more exclusive safari experience while ensuring the welfare of the habituated animals. Being in the private reserve generally affords more flexibility with opportunities to off-road, enjoy night drives and bush walks, all of which make visiting this area a truly unique experience.
Set above the perennial waters of the Sand River, Dulini River’s understated décor and subtle African aesthetic, infused with the tones and textures of the riverine setting, combine to create an effortlessly stylish safari escape in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve.
Suite
Beneath the boughs of mature riverine forest, boardwalks meander to reach the six chic suites, each boasting a wide private terrace and offering unforgettable wilderness.
The serenity of the setting is reflected in elemental tones and textures of six magnificent suites, which emerge from the banks of the river. With cantilevered decks boasting heated plunge pools, relaxation in Nature’s peace is a given.
Inclusions: All meals, local brand drinks, 2 scheduled safari activities daily, laundry, Game drives, and nature walks. Maximum of 6 guests per game vehicle.

Timbavati, meaning “the place where something sacred came down to Earth from the Heavens,” is a 130,000 acre private game reserve that shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park. Forming part of a huge conservation area that spans across international borders and incorporates a number of biomes, the Timbavati remains one of the strongholds for the Big Five; lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino are all regularly spotted, and even the endangered Cape hunting dog thrives in the area. In addition to over 350 species of birds, there are dozens of reptiles and amphibians.
The Timbavati is best known for its white lions, although it is still extremely rare to see them. From here eastwards into Kruger is the only known part of Africa that has the presence of this recessive gene. White lions aside, the Timbavati is regarded as one of South Africa’s premiere game viewing destinations. As well as having a consistently good density of wildlife, the Timbavati has a strong conservation ethos and vehicles numbers are kept to a minimum at wildlife sightings. This means a more exclusive safari experience and at the same time ensures the welfare of the habituated animals.
Located on the western edge of the Kruger National Park, an area that spans over 2.4 million hectares, the Timbavati Game Reserve is truly exceptional in that it is easily accessible from main air and road access routes and yet remains wild and unspoiled with fewer lodges and private homes than can be counted on one hand. It is this unique situation that allows guests the luxury of exploring this arresting habitat uninhibited by other tourist vehicles in total privacy and flexibility. This intimate and exclusive setting offers a truly authentic safari experience.
The Main Lodge is a perfect haven where you will find a superbly situated deck with stunning views of the dam, allowing you to unwind and watch amazing wildlife scenes unfold before your eyes. It is a lovely area to either relax on your own and take in the beauty of your surroundings or to socialize with others and share stories about your sightings.
Luxury Suite
Every one of the seven suites overlooks the magnificent dam and comes with an extra-large bed, a relaxing sitting area with its own gas fireplace, a beautiful bathroom with a spacious shower and separate bathtub, a private deck with loungers, and an outdoor shower. Premium Healing Earth amenities, complimentary Wi-Fi, telephone, hair dryer, safe, mini bar, a Nespresso coffee machine and tea making facilities are found in every room.
Inclusions: All meals and beverages, two daily safari drives, other daily activities taking place in the lodge area: bush walks, fishing, picnics, star gazing. Laundry service.
Booked by a guest
In addition to exciting game drives, there are plenty of other activities to indulge in, from guided bush walks with a ranger, to fishing in one of the many dams in the company of hippos, to star gazing at night.
There is a well-equipped gym, a pool to cool down in during the hottest part of the day and a hot tub to soak in during the cooler evenings. You can also enjoy a spa treatment in the privacy of your room or in the peaceful massage area.
