Dinner Recommendations

Here are some of our favourite restaurants in Copenhagen:

⭐️Michelin Star Restaurants:

  • Geranium (3 Michelin Stars): the restaurant is situated on the 8th floor in Fælledparken (Common Gardens) in the center of Copenhagen. The location emphasizes Geranium's vision of gastronomic clarity and diversity.
  • Noma (3 Michelin Stars): an urban oasis set on former Navy land; this waterside restaurant has a strong connection to nature. Ingredients are organic and they have their own composting machine.
  • Alchemist (2 Michelin Stars): an immersive and perfectly choreographed dining experience. The 50-course dinner is divided into 5 acts, served at various locations, including a spectacular planetarium-like dome.
  • a|o|c (2 Michelin Stars): a spacious, simply decorated restaurant in the vaults of an eye-catching 17C building close to Nyhavn harbor; owned and run by a chef and an experienced sommelier. Skillful, well judged and, at times, playful cooking has a Danish heart and shows great originality, as well as a keen eye for detail, flavor and texture.
  • Kong Hans Kælder (2 Michelin Star): this elegant restaurant is set in an intimate, historic and wonderfully atmospheric cellar, where a charming team attend to your every need. Cooking is rooted in French gastronomy, with its luxury ingredients and rich flavors, but the chef also stamps his own mark on the accomplished, imaginative dishes, with some subtle modernization and lighter touches.
  • Kokkeriet (1 Michelin Star): this very welcoming restaurant, once a corner shop, is intimate and contemporary. The kitchen takes Danish classics and adds its own modern interpretation; dishes are fresh and colorful and all have their own story. The focus is on the tasting menu. Vegetarians and vegans are well looked after.
  • Marchal(1 Michelin Star): Marchal reflects the culinary love that quite literally has been the heart and soul of d’Angleterre since 1755, where an individual and another individual joined forces romantically and professionally to establish a restaurant, which later grew into the Hotel d’Angleterre.
  • Restaurant Krebsegaarden: The inspiration for the menu is taken from different angles: Artists' nationality or regional scenset, their personal favorite dishes or the theme of the exhibition - supplemented with suggestions from the people who work in this old building from 1803; Krebsegaarden, which gave the restaurant its name.
  • Ark: ARK is a fine dining plant-based restaurant and cocktail bar - a concept that is both relevant and innovative. ARK poses a unique and positive approach to the vegan narrative - one that dissolves stereotypes and exceeds expectations.
  • Mes A sweet little restaurant run by a tight-knit team. The frequently changing set menu lists classic dishes – some of which are pepped up with modern techniques.
  • Det Lille Apotek: The little Pharmacy – the oldest restaurant in Copenhagen. When you eat at The little pharmacy, you sense the wings of history.

Please let us know if you'd like reservations made at either of these restaurants. All reservations are subject to availability.

Day 12: Discover Copenhagen
🚶‍♂️
9AM - Copenhagen City Tour

So little time and so much to see! Our Copenhagen Highlights Private Walking Tour is perfect for your short time here. From palaces to quaint streets to grand halls, we’ll show you the highlights of Copenhagen that you shouldn’t miss; there are many more than the famous canal of Nyhavn and Amalienborg Palace, the Queen’s home.

Beginning at Copenhagen City Hall, we’ll take time to appreciate this work of art inside and out. Often overlooked in lieu of only seeing the exterior from the square, the real treat is on the interior. Plus, we’ll visit a treasure of Copenhagen City Hall, which, if you ask us, is the most precise mechanical clock in the world, Jens Olsen’s World Clock.

Before long, we’re back outside, setting off through the streets toward another powerhouse in Copenhagen, this time Christiansborg Palace. Located on the island of Slotsholmen, both politicians of the Danish Parliament and the Queen do their work here, while visitors circle the island on a canal tour. Upon exiting the pomp and circumstance of the palace, we’ll set off on foot for a stroll through hidden alleys, narrow lanes, and across popular squares. While much of the old town of Copenhagen was destroyed and rebuilt, there are still hidden gems to find (if you know where to look!).

After a few hours of fun, we finish our Copenhagen Highlights Private Walking Tour at the centrally located square of Kongens Nytorv.
