Find serenity and tranquility on a spiritual retreat in Nepal.
Nepal is a deeply spiritual land and an incredible place to journey into different beliefs, experience incredible rituals, and develop a deep appreciation for the world we live in.
In Kathmandu, visitors can witness the sacred Hindu cremation ritual at Bhasmeshvar Ghats, the banks of the holy river, where people are cremated and set out onto the water. It's also possible to visit the Buddhist pilgrimage site of Boudhanath Stupa, and hear the Muslim call to prayer at Jame Masjid.
For those wishing to delve further into the spiritual fabric of society, there's the Neydo Tashi Choeling Monastery. An hour outside of the capital city, this place of worship is home to 200 young monks, who have all dedicated themselves to a life of Buddhism. Visitors can sleep, eat, and meditate with the monks, surrounded by beautiful nature and far removed from the trappings of modern life.
Those choosing to stay in Kathmandu can head straight to Dhulikhel, nestled amongst the beautiful landscape in Kathmandu Valley. Physical and mental wellness is totally the focus here, with activities including yoga, meditation, pottery, mandala making, and Himalayan rock salt therapy. These can all be done while soaking up the view of the extended Langtang range of the Himalayas.
Alongside the incredible spirituality in and around Kathmandu, Nepal is also a place of activity and adventure. Including:
→ paragliding in Pokhara
→ safariing in Chitwan National Park
→ trekking to the mythical Kingdom of Mustang
