Fez is the oldest of Morocco’s imperial cities and the medina is the largest car-free urban UNESCO site in the world. It is home to Al Quaraouiyine, the oldest existing and continually operating university in the world. Fez is the spiritual heart of Morocco, dotted with famous saints' mausoleums around the medina.   • Cafe Clock is great for coffee and Berber eggs as well as the café's legendary camel burger. They also host exhibitions by up-and-coming young artists and an all-female drumming band.
  • Nur Restaurant is great for a fancier meal. The restaurant has beautiful plates of food that include innovations like duck confit on herb “meringue,” cured shark on Moroccan corn bread, and grass-fed beef adobo and potato hearts.
  • Ruined Garden's menu features some hard-to-get traditional dishes like slow, spit-roasted-lamb mechoui (order a day in advance) and Sephardic saffron chicken with eggs. It's traditional Fassi street food reimagined.
  • Restaurant Ouliya offers dishes that are the typical Fez specialties.

Enjoy an introductory hidden medina tour of Fez showcasing the alluring charm of the old town, the colorful streets and souks, and the rich tapestry of life that exists within its ancient walls. Gain access to ancient palaces and Islamic gardens, venture into the depths of the tanneries, observe weavers at their loom and discover hidden workshops where generations of artisans ply their individual trades and adapt century old techniques to a modern market. Visit Medrasa Nejjarine (Quaranic School) and gain expert insight into the different ornamentation and decorative techniques. Floral motifs, infinite geometric patterns, ceramic carvings, and calligraphy are all testament to the rich cultural heritage of the vast Islamic empire.

Tal’aa Ikbira Street is where to go when in search of vintage treasures. Day 4: Night in the Sahara Desert

Day 5: The Skoura Valley

Skoura is known for its many historical places as well as its natural attractions. Enjoy a visit in the palm grove and visit kasbah Amerhidil, an ancient adobe fort. Explore the small beaches along the Dades river where you can swim, and stop by the Toundount salt mine, where a 180 million-year old dinosaur was discovered.

Day 7: Exploring Marrakech

Marrakech by Sidecar

Visit Marrakech’s main historical attractions in style: by sidecar. On this one and a half hour open-air adventure, you can either choose to immerse yourself in the quaint Marrakech of the 1920s, discover the most authentic neighborhoods of the Medina or enjoy a shot of greenery in the mythical palm grove.

With its ancient Art Deco buildings, its former open-air cinema, the very first hotel built in 1918, its dusty clock shop and its former Mines Counter, the 1920s Gueliz district testifies of the daily life during the former French Protectorate. A ride in History.

Another page of History opens up in front of your eyes if you decide to discover the stunning Medina of Marrakech. Ride through the most remote and authentic neighborhoods to witness the local life in the Kasbah district, a former fortress reserved for the employees of the Royal Palace, the Mellah, the former Jewish neighborhood or the flea market in Bab El Khemiss taking place every Thursday and Sunday.

Further away, you can choose to discover the palm grove, once a very fertile oasis, this piece of land only known nowadays for its luxurious villas, gave birth to the entire Tensift region almost a thousand years ago thanks to its ingenious underground irrigation systems.

  • Bahia Palace: Which roughly translates to ‘beautiful palace’) was built in the late 19th century, and now forms the epicentre of the city’s culture.
  • Maison de la Photographie: A three-storey riad-turned-gallery housing vintage Moroccan photography. The images document the lifestyle and landscapes of Morocco between 1870 and 1950.
