Although no one knows who first named this glittering archipelago that stretches north-to-south across the equator, explorers, traders and travelers have been coming here for centuries – each generation as enchanted as the last.
Composed of 1,190 coral reef islands forming an archipelago of 26 atolls, the Maldives are acclaimed as a tropical paradise of pristine beaches and clear cobalt and turquoise waters. The country was formed from ancient volcanoes now hidden under the Indian Ocean. It is the planet’s lowest country, resting at just 4 feet 11 inches above sea level. They cover 35,000 square miles, making it one of the world’s most dispersed nations.

The resort, which first opened in 2005, makes the most of the Maldives’ reputation as a perfect palm-trees-and-beaches tropical escape. Each villa is situated for maximum privacy and comes with an overwater perch or private beach access.
There are four restaurants and bars with world-class menus and drink lists, as well as 24-hour in-villa dining. The excellent ESPA offers a wide range of holistic healing and beauty treatments, and includes underwater treatment rooms, couples’ rooms, a relaxation lounge, saunas, steam rooms and a Japanese-style onsen.
There is a full service fitness center, every imaginable type of water sport, including big-game fishing and private sailing cruises on a fleet of beautifully maintained wooden Maldivian dhonis, and an open-air, overwater yoga pavilion.
If in the midst of all this, you still must stay connected to the outside world, all villas are equipped with high-speed broadband Internet access.

Pick up from Velana International Airport by speedboat. The transfers operate 24/7 to match your flight schedule, and are limited to 12 guests.

Note: Please be advised that a restaurant is currently undergoing exciting renovations. During this time, the resort is offering an alternative Japanese outlet, located at another restaurant and can accommodate up to 52 guests for dinner, for which we strongly recommend pre-booking.
During this period, the resort will endeavor to minimize all noise disturbances and any inconveniences as a result of the refurbishment works.
