Before departing to Ubud, you'll enjoy one final experience in Munduk.
Meet your guide at the hotel lobby at your convenience. He will take you to explore mountains, lakes, and rice terraces, incorporating driving, walking, and canoeing. We will first take you to the Lake District, a region of great natural beauty in the central highlands about 1500 m above sea level. Our first destination is Lake Beratan, the largest of the three volcanic lakes in the heart of Bali.
Then, continue to drive north to visit another lake; we will take you on a walk to a small patch of concrete stairs down to a dense rain forest, strolling through Hugh canopy trees while listening to singing birds. The 40-minute walk will then finish in the middle of the jungle.
Get onboard a dugout canoe and start canoeing around the lake while enjoying a great view of two volcanoes.
Head to the west bank to visit the sacred springs only accessible by water. Continue canoeing to reach a village where the car will be waiting.

Meet the guide at the hotel lobby in the early morning and take a drive of about 1hr 30mins to reach the starting point of the trek.
The hike up to the peak will take about 3 hours (depending on individual fitness level and on-ground conditions).
The first 1.5 hours of trekking on the easy pathway will lead you to the rim. Enjoy a light-packed cold breakfast/snack that will be provided. (please note hike times depend on the conditions and pace you choose).
After your quick meal, continue a 30-minute ascending trek to reach the peak to catch the sunrise over the horizon and panoramic view of the area. You will have a chance to see the two mountains of Mt. Agung and Mt. Abang. Occasionally you can see Rinjani Mountain in good weather. Torch lights, a First Aid kit, and headlamps will be provided.
More on Mt. Batur: Mount Batur is an active volcano located at the center of two concentric calderas northwest of Mount Agung on the island of Bali. The southeast side of the larger 10×13 km caldera contains a caldera lake. Both the larger caldera, and a smaller 7.5 km caldera were formed by a collapse of the magma chamber, the first larger collapse taking place about 29,300 years ago, and the second inner caldera collapsing about 20,150 years ago. Another estimate of the inner caldera's formation date, formed during the emplacement of the Bali (or Ubud) ignimbrite, has been dated at about 23,670 and 28,500 years ago.
