The Italian dolce vita is difficult to describe. It is something that truly needs to be experienced first-hand. It is found in the ambient sounds of Rome's cobblestone streets, in the rows of vines of Tuscany's tranquil vineyards, reflecting in the immaculate and azure Mediterranean waters off the Amalfi Coast, and in the daily interactions with Italy's jovial citizens. The unbridled romanticism of a honeymoon in Italy will leave you with memories lasting a lifetime.
Slow down to see the world for the earth has music for those who listen.
Everyone is more or less familiar with Italian culture, from watching movies, learning about the Roman Empire, or simply eating pizza. But not until you arrive in the country do you realize that everything you thought you knew is really just the tip of an enormous iceberg. Every region—every town even—has a unique personality, so no matter how many times you visit Italy, you’re always left with the craving for more.
This time of year expect warm and sunny days, and pleasant evenings. The temperature hovers between 13-27°C (55-80°F) in the north, 16-27°C (60-83°F) in central Italy, and 21-30°C (70-85°F) in the south. But even though these temperatures may seem perfect, you'll want to pack the lightest layers possible, as Italy is not immune to heat waves during June.
Plugs: In Italy, the standard plug type is Type F, which has two round pins and an additional grounding pin in the middle. Type C plugs, which have two round pins without the grounding pin, are also commonly used. An adapter will be needed to plug devices into the outlets.
Voltage: The electrical voltage is 230 volts, and the frequency is 50 Hz. In the US, the voltage is 120 volts, and the frequency is 60 Hz. Therefore, a converter or adapter will be needed to use electrical appliances from the US in Italy. It's important to note that not all converters are the same, and a suitable one must be chosen for the specific appliances being used.
Restaurants, Bars & Cafés: In Italy, it's customary to leave a tip in restaurants, cafes, and bars. The standard amount to tip is 5-10% of the total bill, depending on the level of service you received. Tipping is voluntary, and you should only tip if you feel that the service was good. Some restaurants may include a service charge in the bill, so be sure to check before leaving an additional tip.
Guides & Drivers: For a half-day tour, a good guideline is to tip around €10-€20 per person, and for a full-day tour, €20-€30 per person. For drivers, you can tip around €10-€20 per day. Tipping is a way of showing appreciation for good service, and it's always up to your discretion.
US passport holders are allowed to fly into Italy for Business or Tourism without visa requirements.

On your first afternoon on the Amalfi coast, explore Positano!
What had been a sleepy fishing village once, is now a swanky destination popular for its views and character. Clutching the cliffs of Monti Lattari, a pastel-dabbled landscape that scrambles up the hillside from the Mediterranean Sea, it sits above the glittering gulf with views that sweep over the sea to the islands and coastal towns.
This afternoon is for you to relax and recharge, get settled in and enjoy the beautiful grounds of your hotel.
But to make sure you get a proper introduction to Italy we have arranged a short but lovely experience for you!
Time to delight your palette with the most famous specialty of Positano, Limoncello- a liqueur made of lemons!
Lemons are the symbol of Amalfi and they grow as lush and yellow as the sun in every corner. That's why the traditional liqueur Limoncello is a must-have before leaving the Costiera Amalfitana.
The paternity of this drink has always been disputed between Sorrento, Amalfi, and Capri. For this reason, within a few kilometers, it is possible to find it in three varieties made from three different types of lemon. Sfusato di Amalfi, Ovale di Sorrento, and Femminiello di Capri
Today you'll take a look into every Italian momma's cookbook. On this hands-on experience, you will learn the secrets behind making it, step by step.

While most of Italy is about sightseeing, there’s nothing to visit per se on the Amalfi Coast. Instead of lavish churches and ancient monuments, the rugged coastline is the sight, best enjoyed from a hilltop al fresco restaurant, the bow of a yacht, or inside your car while navigating one of the world’s most scenic drives. Amalfi is a luxurious destination with a humble past, where glitzy villas still intermingle with sleepy fishing villages and bucolic lemon orchards.

What to buy in Sardinia
You are in for a treat! Your hotel is located on a prime location for beaches.
Often called Sardinia's Tahiti for its brilliant white sand and shallow turquoise water. Rock formations at either side form pools that are a habitat for fish, and popular for snorkeling. The beach is backed by a low pine forest and sand dunes, and off the shore stands the dramatic silhouette of the island of Tavolara. Here there are tourist services - beach chairs and umbrellas for rent and refreshment kiosks!
