Spend your honeymoon exploring Italy's most iconic locations.
Thanks to decades of cinema, centuries of art, and millenia of history, everyone is more or less familiar with the fantasy of Italy. You think you know Italian food and Roman landmarks, but not until you arrive in the country do you realize that everything you thought you knew is really just the tip of an enormous iceberg. Every region—every town even—has a unique personality so no matter how many times you visit Italy, you’re always left with the craving for more.

With an uncanny sense of foresight, Rome was first called the Eternal City 2,000 years ago. Even by today’s standards, it’s still grand in a way that few other places can compare to. The buildings are dilapidated and the roads disheveled, but chaos has never looked so exquisite. The cobblestone streets may be nonsensical, but a wrong turn always leads to an unexpected delight: an intimate piazza, a baroque fountain, or a homey trattoria serving house-made cacio e pepe.
Upon exiting from baggage claim, look for your driver who will be holding a sign with your name for your transfer to your hotel in the city center.

The garden patio is ideal for al fresco dining, beginning with the morning breakfast buffet and continuing on with housemade pastas and a nightcap negroni.

Start your journey in Italy by traveling back over 2,000 years, getting a glimpse into the long history of one of the world's oldest civilizations.
Your tour begins from the gates of the Colosseum, the most iconic site of Ancient Rome. Here, at the world's largest standing amphitheater, you’ll learn about the gladiatorial shows and public spectacles that took place almost two thousand years ago. Feel free to ask your guide in-depth questions about the construction of this wonder and the role it played in society, politics, religion and history.
Next, you’ll make your way down the exciting main street of Ancient Rome, Via Sacra, and marvel at the major sites in the city center, including the Curia (senate house), and the temples, triumphal arches, and basilicas around the historical Forum Square.
Afterwards, explore Palatine Hill, one of the sites where the city first began, and delve into the legend of its founding in 753 B.C. by emperor Romulus. By the end of this four hour tour, you’ll have a deeper knowledge of the rise and decline of one of history's most pivotal empires–and the many historical figures who once walked the streets of Rome.

In many ways, visiting Florence today feels like a trip directly into the Renaissance. The energy that inspired the likes of da Vinci and Michelangelo is still palpable, from the grandiose pink and green facade of the Duomo to an unembellished plate of Florentine steak with potatoes. It’s easy to get engrossed by the art and shopping in the historic center, but walk across the Ponte Vecchio to find Florence’s most authentic osterias and enotecas on the left bank of the river.
You'll be picked up from your hotel and taken to Roma Termini train station to catch your train to Florence.

Why we love it for you: As the name implies, the Gallery Art Hotel pays homage to art in the city that birthed the Renaissance. It is the scenset design hotel in Florence, but revolving expositions from both local and international artists keep the decor fresher than Uffizi. It’s just a few steps from Ponte Vecchio and a short walk from the Duomo but, despite its central location, the hidden piazzetta where the hotel is located is surprisingly quiet, the greatest gift of all in a city as busy as Florence.

Crown your day discovering the magnificent Accademia Gallery, home to one of the world's most famous artworks: Michelangelo's David, a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture. Sculpted in marble by a young artist, the statue came to symbolize the defense of civil liberties embodied in the Republic of Florence, an independent city-state threatened on all sides by more powerful rival states and by the hegemony of the Medici family. Originally placed beside Palazzo Vecchio, the city town hall, the statue was transferred to the Accademia from Piazza della Signoria in 1873. After delving into the history and artistic value of David, enjoy admiring the artist's famous unfinished statues - the Prisoners, St. Matthew and the Pieta.

It’s easy to get wrapped up in the magic of Florence, but there’s so much more to Tuscany outside of the capital city. Hop in the car and the city quickly gives way to medieval villages, terracotta estates, and endless rows of vineyards. The region is renowned for its history and art, but sensual pleasures reign supreme: copious glasses of wine, simple cooking with seasonal ingredients, natural thermal baths.
After breakfast and check-out, meet your English-speaking driver in the hotel lobby for your transfer to your hotel in Tuscany.
Why we love it for you: From the moment you arrive, it’s as though you’ve been transported to a Tuscan village of yesteryear. Everything is decentralized, so you’ll find staff members walking around, perhaps on their way back from picking produce for dinner or tending to the grapes at the vineyards. Each suite is individually decorated and named, but always with the style of returning home to your cozy countryside cottage.

You'll learn to create something deliciously Italian and, of course, enjoy the fruits of your labor once you're finished—paired with a Tuscan glass of wine.

When you're staying on a wine-making estate, it should be obligatory to see how the wine is actually made. Learn about the process with an expert viticulturist starting from how the grapes are grown to how the wine is aged in barrels, ending with a tasting of some of the property's most special bottles.

While most of Italy is about sightseeing, there’s nothing to visit per se on the Amalfi Coast. Instead of lavish churches and ancient monuments, the rugged coastline is the sight, best enjoyed from a hilltop al fresco restaurant, the bow of a yacht, or inside your car while navigating one of the world’s most scenic drives. Amalfi is a luxurious destination with a humble past, where glitzy villas still intermingle with sleepy fishing villages and bucolic lemon orchards.
Why we love it for you: Sitting marvelously atop the cliffs overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea is Hotel Le Agavi. This chic property evokes feelings of the aquatic scenery below with its blue, white, and gold color palette. Hotel Le Agavi's lovely pool and restaurant terraces offer romantic vantage points to catch the rising and setting sun over the Amalfi Coast.
