The Italian la dolce vita is difficult to describe. It is something that truly needs to be experienced first-hand. It is found in the ambient sounds of Rome's cobblestone streets, in the rows of vines of Tuscany's tranquil vineyards, reflecting in the immaculate and azure Mediterranean waters, and in the daily interactions with Italy's jovial citizens. The unbridled romanticism of a journey through Italy will leave your family with memories lasting a lifetime.

In the morning, meet your private instructor at the marina. After a quick safety briefing, board the special learner’s gondola. This type of gondola is a lot more stable than the black Venetian gondolas, so no one gets to fall in the water! First thing is first: getting familiar with the rowing technique, and although it seems quite easy, you’ll see that it is quite a challenge. And once you have gotten the hang of it, it is time to learn how to steer the gondola! The training takes place in a small port, and when everyone is ready, you and your family will take a trip down the smaller canals of Venice, just like any real gondolier. On the way, you will visit a very secret gondola museum and squero (gondola reparation atelier) and enjoy a few snacks and refreshments.

In many ways, visiting Florence today feels like a trip directly into the Renaissance. The energy that inspired the likes of da Vinci and Michelangelo is still palpable, from the grandiose pink and green facade of the Duomo to an unembellished plate of Florentine steak with potatoes. It’s easy to get engrossed by the art and shopping in the historic center, but walk across the Ponte Vecchio to find Florence’s most authentic osterias and enotecas on the left bank of the river.
Built in the 1870s by a Baron for his wife, Villa Cora is a love letter in art and architecture. Opulent in the extreme, but by no means over-blinged, the interiors reflect the eclectic passions of the aristocrat and his wife. The massive heated outdoor pool – the only one in Florence – comes courtesy of the 21st-century renovation, as does the flawless service.
This evening, live a unique and enjoyable experience along the Arno River on board of a traditional "barchetto," one of the few left in Florence.
See the Uffizi Gallery, the splendid palaces, and historic villas on the bank while enjoying a glass of wine.

With an uncanny sense of foresight, Rome was first called the Eternal City 2,000 years ago. Even by today’s standards, it’s still grand in a way that few other places can compare to. The buildings are dilapidated and the roads disheveled, but chaos has never looked so exquisite. The cobblestone streets may be nonsensical, but a wrong turn always leads to an unexpected delight: an intimate piazza, a baroque fountain, or a homey trattoria serving house-made cacio e pepe.
One of the most enchanting palaces in Rome has opened its doors to inaugurate a new chapter in its history as Palazzo Dama: a magnificent hotel that redefines the capitol city’s standards of luxury.
In the afternoon, adventure through Rome's historic streets aboard Italy's iconic Vespa, the beloved symbol of the 1950s and 1960s.
Meet your private family-friendly guide at your hotel for a thrilling three-hour ride past Rome's major landmarks, including the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Vatican, and Colosseum. Additionally, to enhance your experience and keep the kids even more engaged and entertained, a game booklet is provided. Enjoy a break for refreshments, ensuring everyone stays energized for the adventure. Create lasting family memories exploring Rome together in a unique and exciting way with the Vespa Tour of Rome.
