The Italian la dolce vita is difficult to describe. It is something that truly needs to be experienced first-hand. It is found in the ambient sounds of Rome's cobblestone streets, in the rows of vines of Tuscany's tranquil vineyards, reflecting in the immaculate and azure Mediterranean waters, and in the daily interactions with Italy's jovial citizens. The unbridled romanticism of a journey together in Italy will leave you with memories lasting a lifetime.

In many ways, visiting Florence today feels like a trip directly into the Renaissance. The energy that inspired the likes of da Vinci and Michelangelo is still palpable, from the grandiose pink and green facade of the Duomo to an unembellished plate of Florentine steak with potatoes. It’s easy to get engrossed by the art and shopping in the historic center, but walk across the Ponte Vecchio to find Florence’s most authentic osterias and enotecas on the left bank of the river.
Together, make your way to the city center and get ready for an exploration of the city known as the ‘Cradle of the Renaissance’ with your personal guide.
Start with the Basilica of San Miniato dedicated to a local martyr and considered a real architectural jewel. Please note that the church may be undergoing some restoration work.
Proceed to Piazza della Signoria, the political heart of the city. In this square, you will find a unique outdoor sculpture gallery, including Neptune’s Fountain, a copy of the famous statue of David, and the bronze Perseus by Benvenuto Cellini.
After your time at Piazza della Signoria, you will break for lunch.
If you have any trouble locating your guide, please call a guide support member at +39 339 101 8433, or +39 339 108 2339.

In the afternoon, head to the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore (inside visit if you wish). More commonly referred as the Duomo (meaning “cathedral” or literally “house of God”, not “dome”). One of the most impressive buildings in Italy, it took about 200 years to complete, spanning the Middle Ages and Renaissance, taking influences from each era. Please note there might be a line to get in.
Dress code: shoulders and knees must be covered.
Crown your day visiting the Accademia. Please note there might be a line for security checks notwithstanding the pre-booked tickets. It is the first school in Europe to specialize in the techniques of drawing, painting and sculpture. See the gallery’s most famous work: Michelangelo’s David, a colossal nude of the biblical hero who killed the giant Goliath. Additionally, see Michelangelo’s unfinished Quattro Prigioni, sculptures meant to adorn the tomb of Pope Julius II and his moving Pietà di Palestrina.

At the end of the tour, rejoin your driver and head to Borgo Santo Pietro. Driving time is approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes, traffic permitting.
Check in and balance the rest of the day at leisure. You will arrive at your hotel in the evening.
It’s easy to get wrapped up in the magic of Florence, but there’s so much more to Tuscany outside of the capital city. Hop in the car and the city quickly gives way to medieval villages, terracotta estates, and endless rows of vineyards. The region is renowned for its history and art, but sensual pleasures reign supreme: copious glasses of wine, simple cooking with seasonal ingredients, natural thermal baths. If you’re seeking la dolce vita, you’ll find it in Tuscany.
Live like a Renaissance-era conte or contessa at Borgo Santo Pietro, nestled away in the Tuscan hills. Yes, it’s a 5-star hotel in every sense of the term and guests are treated like nobility, but at its core, Santo Pietro is a family-run country house. Everything from produce and wine to honey and cheese comes from the farm, which guests can savor in a cooking class or at the on-site Michelin-star restaurant. Like a small Garden of Eden, this is the kind of paradise that never gets old.
Borgo Santo Pietro
Il Melograno Garden Suite
Named after the ubiquitous pomegranate whose travels, history and symbolism have been perpetuated throughout the Mediterranean, Il Melograno offers calm repose to any traveler where their inner spirit can be reborn and thrive.
The well-appointed suite, with high beamed ceilings, features an intricately carved four-poster bed and Baroque-style furniture where guests can unfurl in front of the fireplace. Immediately adjacent to the bed are double glass-paned doors opening onto a freestanding slipper bath to create a sense of light and flow throughout.
To the west are two sets of double French doors leading out to a private garden and an outdoor seating area beside a second external open fireplace. Here, guests can inhale the aroma of citrus plants whilst unwinding on the sun lounges, letting the silence sink in.

Meet your private driver and guide at the hotel for a day trip to the Chianti region between Florence and Siena, where you will find rolling green hills dotted with charming, stone medieval villages, and a countryside blanketed in rustic farms of olive trees and grape vines.
The history of the Chianti territory is fascinating: Cosimo III de'Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany decided in 1716 to issue an edict in which he officially recognized the boundaries of the Chianti district, making it the first legal document in the world to define a wine production area.

With an uncanny sense of foresight, Rome was first called the Eternal City 2,000 years ago. Even by today’s standards, it’s still grand in a way that few other places can compare to. The buildings are dilapidated and the roads disheveled, but chaos has never looked so exquisite. The cobblestone streets may be nonsensical, but a wrong turn always leads to an unexpected delight: an intimate piazza, a baroque fountain, or a homey trattoria serving house-made cacio e pepe.
From the majestic tumbling gardens which sweep down from neighboring Villa Borghese, Hotel de Russie is a bastion of old-school hospitality. This is understated retro glamour through and through, executed as only the Italians can. In terms of location, you’ll be hard-pressed to beat Hotel de Russie. It's situated beside buzzing Piazza del Popolo – on which three of Rome’s main thoroughfares converge – and no more than a short walk from multiple big-ticket attractions.

Meet your private driver and your guide at the hotel lobby and delve into the Glory of Ancient Rome.
Start with a private view over the Roman Forum from the only church in the Roman Forum, a site that is not normally opened to the public. The 17th century Baroque guild church, famous as the "church in a temple", incorporates the classical portico of the 2nd century Temple of Antoninus and Faustina and shows you more dramatically than any other place in Rome the practice of recycling ancient roman buildings.
Once welcomed inside, listen to your guide describe the history of the Roman Empire, while behind the church’s caretaker opens the massive shutters for a blinding reveal of the over the Roman Forum away from the crowds but close to the ruins.
Next, immerse yourself in ancient history by stepping foot in Rome’s Colosseum, one of the best preserved ruins of the Roman Empire, dating back to 72 AD. Enter into one of the greatest architectural wonders of the world. As you walk along its passageways, it's easy to imagine the glory of the gladiators as they fought for honor on a public stage in front of thousands of spectators.
What today appears to be a large open field, was once a grandiose sporting arena (one of the largest in the world) during Imperial times. The Circo Massimo (Circus Maximus) was a facility that contained a seating capacity of more than 300,000 seats. The arena set between Capitoline and Palatine hill was Ancient Rome's largest racetrack and was home for some of the most monumental chariot races. Some races would last up to two weeks at a time. Its length stretches some 650 yards from one end to the other. The arena went up in flames in 64 AD causing several thousands of casualties and left parts of the city destroyed. Today what's left of the site remains a green open field where the Comune di Roma (City of Rome) puts on free concerts, art exhibitions and other cultural events.
The order of the sights may vary based on your guide's discretion.

While most of Italy is about sightseeing, there’s nothing to visit per se on the Amalfi Coast. Instead of lavish churches and ancient monuments, the rugged coastline is the sight, best enjoyed from a hilltop al fresco restaurant, the bow of a yacht, or inside your car while navigating one of the world’s most scenic drives. Amalfi is a luxurious destination with a humble past, where glitzy villas still intermingle with sleepy fishing villages and bucolic lemon orchards.
Back when Positano was a sleepy fishing village, a family turned their family villa into Le Sirunese. The family still runs the hotel, where hospitality feels as intimate as staying in a close friend’s house. Every detail is thought out so travelers can experience the Amalfi Coast the way they remember it, with boat rides around the coast, eclectic decor curated by the family, and dinner on a candlelit terraza with views that take your breath away.

This morning, meet your private assistant at your hotel and walk to the port. There, meet your English-speaking captain for a private chartered boat tour along Capri.
Visit some of the island’s pristine, hidden locations, only accessible by water. Italy’s most famous island, Capri, is a dramatic rugged mountain soaring out of the sea at the tip of the Sorrento peninsula. No visit is complete without a few hours spent on the Mediterranean Sea surrounding the island. In fact, many of the most enchanting stretches of the Capri coastline are completely inaccessible by land.
Please note that, during high season, the wait to enter the Blue Grotto can last up to an hour, with no shade or refreshment stand. We recommend bringing a sun hat and sunscreen. Cash payment is required.
Break for lunch at La Fontelina where a reservation has been made.
After lunch, meet your private driver and head to Capri Piazzetta. Experience the allure of Capri's shopping scene, where luxury meets Mediterranean charm. Stroll along cobblestone streets lined with chic boutiques, offering a curated selection of designer fashion, exquisite jewelry, and artisanal crafts. From iconic Italian brands to hidden gems, Capri promises an unforgettable shopping excursion. Indulge in the thrill of discovery as you explore quaint alleyways and bustling piazzas, soaking in the island's vibrant atmosphere. Whether you're seeking high-end fashion or unique souvenirs, Capri offers a shopping experience like no other, blending elegance with the timeless beauty of the Mediterranean. Please note that the shopping area in Capri is entirely pedestrian.
You will have about 2.5 hours for shopping and exploration around Capri Town. You will be departing from Capri by boat at about 5:30pm. Your driver and the boat captain will coordinate with you and take you to Capri port for your boat transfer back to Positano.
From there, return to your hotel independently.

Cancellation Policy: Weather-related cancellations are made the same day as the trip. Trips will not be cancelled if the forecast shows showers prior to the date of the trip. Private boat day excursions / private boat transfers run, regardless of weather conditions, if seas/waters are deemed safe by the professional captain. The decision of canceling the charter, tour or trip early will be in the sole discretion of the captain to ensure the safety of the passengers onboard. The boat tours are 100% reimbursed (the boat portion not the transfers and assistance to/from ports) only if weather is deemed unsafe. Where applicable, the boat can be rescheduled for a different day. As a gentle reminder, sunny weather does not necessarily mean safe sailing conditions while rain does not necessarily mean unsafe conditions.

Please note that your exact boat has not been assigned. Depending on the fleet location this day, you will either have the Itama 50 or XL Marine. Both are of similar specifications.
Few places in the world can boast such a high concentration of designer shops as Capri. Make your way along Via Camerelle and, in the small section of pedestrian road which separates the Grand Hotel Quisisana from Via Tragara, you'll come across all the biggest names from the world of fashion.
Your guide today will have further recommendations for you, so the below is merely a starting point!
FIORE CAPRI
Colors and designs linked by the stunning blue of the Capri Sea: this is the unmistakable style of the famous Caprese brand "Fiore Capri". A designer, Mediterranean in scenset and character and the vibrant soul of the fashion house, reinterprets the fashion of their collection of long multicolor caftans, vibrant brimmed hats, low flat jeweled sandals, original straw baskets, and over size dark sunglasses.
ANTICA SARTORIA
Founded in the 1960s, the stylistic minds behind Antica Sartoria experimented with and discovered "Moda Positano" or "Positano Fashion" by improvising with tailors, chopping scarves, linen or cotton towels, and sometimes destroying bridal gowns, transforming and combining them with hand-embroidered sheets, table doilies, and crochet into elegant and chic evening dresses.
100% CAPRI
100% Capri is like two boutiques in one, offering Italian linen in both fashion clothing as well as household items. The men's, women's and children's apparel lines are complemented by must-have accessories, like leather belts, shoes and sandals, linen scarves, and hats that complete the look. Items around the home include Italian linen sheets, towels and table linens.
FARELLA
Started by four sisters of Capri. Through the ancient art of handlooms, they have created precious designs of cardigans, jackets, shawls, tunics, all colorful and fashionable. With their touch of originality, they make unique garments: the colors evolve along with the ideas, the new yarns are intertwined with each other and new creations bloom in a company where passion and art work in unison.
CHANTECLER
Since 1947, Chantecler is a hymn to passion, joy and poetry. With their unforgettable style and creative energy, they are the marvelous heart of High Jewelry on Capri.
CANFORA
Canfora sandals, handmade in Capri since 1946, epitomize Italian luxury and craftsmanship. Renowned for their elegant designs and unparalleled comfort, Canfora sandals are a timeless symbol of Mediterranean style.
L'ARTE DEL SANDALO CAPRESE
Since 1958, the professional craftsman Maestro Antonio Viva has been the dynamic creator of sandals and moccasins of all forms and styles, suitable for all personalities and occasions. Most importantly, in his skillful reinvention of old traditions, he uses only 100% Italian materials, like Genuine Italian Leather, but also calfskin and kidskin, together with costume jewelry used for decorations, all carefully selected from the best Italian artisan producers, with the greatest guarantees of quality, attractiveness and resistance to wear.

SAFARI SANDALI
An individual has been crafting Positano-style leather sandals since they were young. On any typical day, you'll find them in their tiny shop along Via della Tartana working away at their desk. A pair of custom sandals is available and they are totally customized. You pick the style and color of the leather, your foot is measured, and in about 10-15 minutes the sandals are ready.
BOUTIQUE LUISA
