Panoramic spa views, stunning slopes and forest brunching in the chic Italian city of Meran.
In 1932, the Miramonti boutique hotel opened its doors for the first time as a guesthouse. Sporting just three rooms, the main draw was the incredible view of the city of Merano from the panoramic terrace.
It's come a long way since then – although that incredible terrace view still remains. Situated close to the awe-inspiring Dolomites and surrounded by ancient forests, today the five-star hotel has become a destination in its own right. Not only because of its excellent location for skiing and the tasteful Nordic-Japanese design flair, but also the spa decked out with an infinity pool and a woodland sauna, the award-winning restaurants, and extra touches like forest breakfasts, horse riding, and wine tours.
The close-by Ski Arena 2000 of Merano, with its 40 kilometers of snow runs, is the clear choice for both beginners and experienced skiers – plus the hotel shuttle will drop you right in front of the lifts.
Another way to traverse the ancient forests is on the back of a Hafling horse, accompanied by your guide and fuelled by a quick stop for a private breakfast set up in the middle of the forest – provided by the hotel.
At Miramonti, you're spoiled for choice when it comes to both food and views. Dine in the Panorama restaurant, enjoy the amazing views from the sun deck, or – a personal favorite – take in the valley while relaxing in the infinity pool. All can be topped up with extra services too: a nanny service and dog sitting are both available, along with shuttle services, a lifestyle concierge, or a daily teatime if requested.
Reach out to our curators if you want to compliment your stay with a wine tour, driving experience, or helicopter trip up a mountain for breakfast.
Still not enough? From wine tours to driving experiences, our curators can help you explore the area your way.
