Welcome to Sardinia! This island may be a part of Italy, but separated culturally, linguistically, and physically from the mainland, it feels like its own de facto country. The populated coastline is home to some of the most picturesque and exclusive beaches in the Mediterranean, but the underwater grottos are the island’s dreamiest features. Sardinia’s bucolic past still prevails as you move inland, where sheep outnumber the people and restaurants don’t just serve food but also grow it themselves.
If you’re not familiar with the Italian way of doing dinner, it generally goes:
Think of it as a marathon, not a sprint. Buon appetito!

Lining the main hub of Porto Cervo, you’ll gawk at the abundance of exclusive stores, including Versace, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, and Dolce & Gabbana. You’ll also see the Rolex store, as well as the poshest jewelry stores on the planet, like Cartier and Bulgari. There are a few independent shops tossed in among the famous brand names. A Michelin-starred restaurant on the Costa Smeralda, this is as glitzy as Sardinia gets. Chef Italo Bassi is known for his inventiveness – from deer tartare to sea-urchin gelato – with a focus on raw seafood. A sommelier is responsible for the wine selection and the art on the walls.

When a vineyard combines centuries of tradition with innovative technology, they make a statement worth acknowledging. Vigne Surrau, a relatively new venture in Sardinia, is one of those rare breeds of producers that claims the past while living in the present. Vigne Surrau is located near the sea, a few kilometers from Costa Esmeralda, in the region of Gallura. Crushed granite stone dominates the vineyards soils and help form the unique taste of the wines.
Evening – Lying on the grass, caressed by the shade of an olive tree, feeding the eyes with endless green spaces. A basket full of delights, an invitation to let thoughts fly away and indulge in the pleasure of doing nothing! The experience includes: a 4-course tasting menu, a bottle of wine, and water.
Enjoy your day at leisure. You can choose to stay at your hotel and relax or explore the beaches of Sardinia independently. The hotel concierge can assist you with arranging a taxi.
Porto Rotondo is very similar to Porto Cervo in that it was created as a luxe resort city, geared towards society’s elite class. It has a spacious shopping village near Piazza Quadra, Piazza San Marco, and Piazza Casbah. The shopping district is home to the high-end Italian fashion brands you’ll also find in Porto Cervo; however, it also has less refined shops, like a scuba gear shop! Some of the best boutiques in Porto Rotondo—that are expensive but won’t shatter the piggy bank—are in Piazza Andrea Cascella. Stop by to try on beautiful dresses, shoes, and more!

With its belle époque architecture, centuries of history, and countless museums, it’s no wonder Paris has been the home to generations of artists, writers, and musicians. It’s easy to feel inspired while climbing the Eiffel Tower or wandering the Louvre, but the city’s true soul resides in its quotidian pleasures: a flaky croissant from the corner patisserie, discovering a quiet cobblestone street, drinking an apéritif along the Seine. Perhaps you’ll find your own muse in the City of Lights.
