In March, Ireland experiences cool temperatures with an average high ranging from 45 to 52 degrees Fahrenheit (7 to 11 degrees Celsius). While daylight hours gradually increase, occasional rain showers are common, so it's advisable to pack layers and rain gear when exploring the picturesque landscapes of the Emerald Isle during this time.

While there is no set rule for tipping in Ireland, you will find some general guidelines below.

Gratuities, while extremely welcome and much appreciated, are considered a “bonus” and should reflect the level of service.

Taxi – Round up to the nearest GBP/EUR for a short trip and to the nearest 10 GBP/EUR for a longer trip

In regard to restaurants, usually a service charge will be added to your bill and therefore there is no expectation to tip. Usually the service charge will be clearly labeled at the bottom of your bill. If not included, then usually a 10% tip is expected.

If the service is included and the meal and service exceeded your expectations, you can round the bill up to the nearest GBP/EUR 10.

The above amounts are to be considered per service and not per person.

In Dublin if you need any taxi services, it is recommended to use FREENOW app based taxi service.

American passport holders do not require a visa to visit Ireland for short stays.
