Thoughtfully renovated to evoke its Victorian roots, this luxury boutique hotel is bold, comfortable and beautiful. What’s more, it’s only a short walk from the heart of Dublin, so you can go from city buzz to lights out in minutes.

Think parquet floors and generous king size beds, vibrant prints and walk-in rainforest showers. Downstairs, pull up a velvet-clad chair and tuck into a hearty breakfast in the bright and airy Garden Room. Or peruse Irish gins and whiskeys in the Gin and Tea Rooms, where you can also enjoy charcuterie boards, toasties and fresh tea and coffee throughout the day.

Today you will be met by a driver guide to transfer to Ballyfin via the Wicklow Mountains, where you may enjoy walking or hiking along marked trails, several of which lead you to the monastic site of Glendalough.
Today, tour the countryside and explore the Wicklow Mountains, a wonderland of rugged hills, wild bogland, glacial valleys, and fields of heath. You will start at Powerscourt Estate to see their compelling gardens and waterfall. Just minutes from Powerscourt is the charming town of Enniskerry, where films such as The Count of Monte Cristo and Henry V were filmed.
From here you will enjoy a drive through the scenic beauty of Sally Gap. This road was built after the 1798 Irish rebellion by British Army forces looking to flush rebels from the hills. Highlights of this winding, twisting feat of engineering include the Glencree valley, the dark waters of Lough Tay, Kippure Mountain and Glenmacnass Waterfall. You will then arrive at Glendalough, a ruined monastic city and site of an ancient round tower. This settlement was founded in the 6th century by Saint Kevin. If interested, you will have the opportunity to stretch your legs on the many walking trails found near Glendalough.
Finally, your driver will bring you to Ballyfin where you will check-in and relax.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Touring opportunities are endless for this day! Depending on your interests, sites can be substituted and a few others that we recommend in the area include Wicklow Wolf Brewing and Avoca Handweavers. Tours are designed to fit within the time noted. Depending on how much time is spent at each site, the number of visits may need to be reduced.
