• July falls within Bali's dry season, which typically runs from April to September. During this time, the island experiences its lowest levels of rainfall, with only occasional brief showers. The weather is characterized by clear, sunny skies and plenty of sunshine throughout the month, making it an ideal time for outdoor activities and beach vacations.
  
• Temperatures in Bali remain consistently warm in July, with average daytime highs around 30°C (86°F) and nighttime lows around 23°C (73°F). The pleasant temperatures are perfect for enjoying the island's many beaches, exploring temples, or participating in water sports. However, it's important to note that the humidity levels can be quite high, often reaching 75% or more, which can make the perceived temperature feel warmer.
  
• July is also an excellent month for those looking to escape the crowds, as it falls just outside the peak tourist season. While the weather is generally fantastic, it's still a good idea to pack light, breathable clothing, sunscreen, and a hat to protect yourself from the strong tropical sun. With its idyllic weather conditions, July is a fantastic time to visit Bali and experience all that this beautiful island has to offer.

A Tourist Visa is required for entry to Indonesia. A visa upon arrival for up to 30 days is available and can be extended one time for an additional 30 days. For more information, please visit the U.S. State Department website.

Your passport must be valid for at least six months, with one full clean page for the visa arrival stamp. You must then show a return ticket before purchasing the visa. After obtaining the Visa On Arrival, continue to the immigration checkpoint to get the entry stamp before retrieving your luggage.

For your domestic flights, you have one 20kg luggage allowance per person.

We recommend the following:

• Wear lightweight and breathable clothing, such as cotton or linen, due to the warm tropical climate.
  
• It is respectful to dress modestly, especially in predominantly Muslim areas by covering shoulders, upper arms and knees. You may wish to wear traditional Indonesian attire like batik shirts or kebayas for formal occasions if this applies.
  
• Comfortable footwear that can be easily removed, like sandals, is recommended.
  
• Carrying rain gear, such as a light rain jacket or umbrella, is advisable for unexpected showers.
  
• Casual and informal wear is widely accepted, but adapting to local norms is recommended, particularly in more conservative areas where covering shoulders and knees may be appreciated.
  
• Additionally, sun protection, including hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen, is important in the tropical sun.

Indonesian people are very easygoing and would rarely tell you if you are doing something that offends them. However, here are a few things to think about while you are in Indonesia:

• Do not give or take anything with your left hand, as it is considered impure.
  
• Do not touch children's heads, as this part of the body is considered to be the home of the human soul.
  
• Do not blow your nose while eating. It is best to get up and step away from the table.
  
• In busy centers, keep your shirt on (unless on the beach of course).
  
• Hands on hips are a sign of defiance, especially when talking to someone.
  
• Ask questions. When visiting a religious site, taking part in a religious practice, or simply touring a town, ask lots of questions to your Indonesian guides and friends. Indonesians are incredibly proud of their culture and are happy to share. This is also true if you are not sure how to act or feel uncomfortable in a situation – ask questions to make sure you are following proper Indonesian etiquette.

Tipping is completely up to your discretion and not expected by your guides. USD is most commonly accepted.

A photographer will join you on your Mount Batur hike; your guide will coordinate this.

Meet your guide at the hotel lobby in the early afternoon. He will then take you on a drive to the trek's starting point in Kintamani. The drive will take about 1.5 hours. Your guide will provide torch lights, a First Aid kit, headlamps and a stick. The hike to the peak will take about two hours, depending on fitness levels and conditions.

The first part of the hike, about 1.5 hours, is on an easy pathway. You will reach the rim in the late afternoon and the peak about half an hour later. Enjoy the breathtaking view of Mount Batur as the sun sets. It's a dramatic and accessible volcano offering an outstanding panoramic view.

You'll have a chance to see nearby Mount Agung and Mount Abang. In good weather, you might even see Rinjani Mountain. The trek back down takes about 1.5 hours, after which you'll return to the hotel.

Meet the guide/driver in the lobby in the morning. You will be taken to "Sebatu Village", known for its thriving artistic community. Your first stop will be at "Gunung Kawi Temple", a beautiful landscape with a large compound and holy water spring altars. After exploring the temple, you will hop back in the car for a short drive to the starting point.

You will have a coffee break and get fitted for your bike. Start pedalling through the village, where you can witness the artistry of wood carving and observe traditional Balinese homes. Take a single path along the farmer's pathway, passing through rice fields to see farming activities.

The scenic route will allow you to enjoy the breathtaking rainforest views and mountains in the background. Afterwards, explore the rice fields on the other side of the village, where you'll be treated to different views.

The bike ride will last approximately 2.5 hours and end in a hidden paradise where a picnic lunch will be set up. After lunch, walk down to the valley to visit a small holy waterfall. This is a lesser-known spot, so it's a great opportunity to experience a tranquil and secluded natural setting.

Nunggalan Beach is a hidden gem located on the southern coast of Bali, Indonesia. With its stunning turquoise waters, pristine white sand, and dramatic limestone cliffs, this secluded beach offers a breathtaking and unforgettable experience.
