The Acropolis is the most important ancient site in the Western world. Crowned by the Parthenon, it stands sentinel over Athens, visible from almost everywhere within the city. Its monuments and sanctuaries of white Pentelic marble gleam in the midday sun and gradually take on a honey hue as the sun sinks, while at night they stand brilliantly illuminated above the city. A glimpse of this magnificent sight can not fail to exalt your spirit.
The Acropolis became a World Heritage-listed site in 1987. The Museum was founded to exhibit all the significant finds from the Sacred Rock and its foothills. It was designed by architect Bernard Tschumi with Michael Photiadis and inaugurated in the summer of 2009. The Museum hosts its collections across three levels, as well as in the archaeological excavation that lies at its foundations.

Please note that the walk up the Acropolis Hill is part of the experience of visiting this incredible ancient site. Consider the astounding number of people who have walked the same path through millennia. In fact, all the buildings you see on the Acropolis were built or rebuilt during the 500-300 B.C. As a result, the marble steps are very shiny and slick. Additionally, don’t forget to wear a pair of comfortable walking shoes and absolutely avoid wearing flip flops. Sunblock, sunglasses, and a hat are a must. Lastly, don’t forget to bring a water bottle and lots of energy!

Food is an integral part of Cycladic and Greek culture. Enrich your stay in Antiparos by taking a live cooking lesson on how locals prepare traditional recipes with the use of local ingredients.

- Vlichos beach is a small pebble beach with crystal-clear waters. A few taverns are available near the beach. Vlychos beach can be reached by a 40-minute walk from the harbor or by a taxi-boat. If you are seeking an undeveloped, quiet beach then this one is ideal
- Kaminia beach, situated between Vlihos and Hydra Town, is a small fishing port surrounded by a few tavernas; the small area is called Mikro Kamini (Small Kamini) and, because of its safety and its shallow clear waters, it is the ideal place for parents and children
- Mandraki beach is a pebble organized beach, with clear waters, various water sports equipment for hire and a great view over the Peloponnese. It can be reached by a 25-minute walk from the main harbor.
