There is an old Greek saying that goes along the lines of 'When God wanted to recreate Heaven on Earth; he made Greece', and it's easy to see why. The crystal blue waters of the Aegean, the idyllic Cycladic islands, the relics and monuments of one of the most impactful civilizations that have persisted for a millennium; it's all just a fraction of the allure that enamors visitors to this sanctuary in the Mediterranean.

During your stay in Greece, the weather is expected to be mostly sunny and warm. Temperatures will range between about 14ºC / 57ºF and 27ºC / 80ºF.

Maintaining a place for thousands of years is no easy task and, on the surface, Athens can feel like a city in shambles. But if you’re willing to embrace the chaos, then hipster neighborhoods and an underground art scene give Athens an up-and-coming vibe, despite being one of the oldest cities in the world. It’s a capital of contradictions, where sipping a craft cocktail in a trendy rooftop bar overlooking the ruins of the Acropolis is par for the course.
In a city that prides itself on antiquities, a certain hotel feels downright funky. The design plays with jagged edges and eccentric furniture in a way that immediately lets guests know this hotel values experience over elegance. That same ethos flows seamlessly across all aspects of this hotel, whether it’s on an organized jogging tour of Athens or enjoying a cocktail at the rooftop bar appropriately named Art Lounge.

Begin your day with a culinary walking tour of Athens as you discover a different side of the city by joining the locals in what are probably their favorite activities: eating and congregating.
Among your stops today is a baklava bakery and a store that sells products made from the resin of the mastic tree (indigenous to the island of Chios).
Later, it’s time for an authentic souvlaki before you continue to the city’s Spice Street. Here, you will drop in at a shop with an incredible variety of local condiments and herbs. Along the way, taste a classic bougatsa. Finally at a charming little taverna that specializes in traditional Greek dishes, you will experience the epitome of local eating with a selection of Greek meze.

The Acropolis is the most important ancient site in the Western world. Crowned by the Parthenon, it stands sentinel over Athens, visible from almost everywhere within the city. Its monuments and sanctuaries of white Pentelic marble gleam in the midday sun and gradually take on a honey hue as the sun sinks, while at night they stand brilliantly illuminated above the city. A glimpse of this magnificent sight can not fail to exalt your spirit.
The Acropolis became a World Heritage-listed site in 1987. The Museum was founded to exhibit all the significant finds from the Sacred Rock and its foothills. It was designed by architect Bernard Tschumi with Michael Photiadis and inaugurated in the summer of 2009. The Museum hosts its collections across three levels, as well as in the archaeological excavation that lies at its foundations.

Please note that the walk up the Acropolis Hill is part of the experience of visiting this incredible ancient site. Consider the astounding number of people who have walked the same path through millennia. In fact, all the buildings you see on the Acropolis were built or rebuilt during the 500-300 B.C. As a result, the marble steps are very shiny and slick. Additionally, don’t forget to wear a pair of comfortable walking shoes and absolutely avoid wearing flip flops. Sunblock, sunglasses, and a
hat are a must. Lastly, don’t forget to bring a water bottle and lots of energy!

The stories of Greek mythology are tangible on Crete, where you can walk through the cave where Zeus was born or visit the ruins that housed the legendary Minotaur. Every beach is somehow more breathtaking than the last on over 600 miles of Mediterranean coastline, but move inland and it becomes mountains and gorges. Local cuisine focuses on sustainability and ingredients that travel yards, not miles, such as organic wine, cold-pressed olive oil, or fresh seafood.
The adults-only, multi-awarded Domes Noruz is not only a point of reference when it comes to boutique luxury accommodation. It can also be your starting point for a series of excursions to nearby sights -from the multicultural Chania to the wild beauty of Samaria Gorge!

The local residents would tell you that their island is the most inviting of all the Cyclades. While they may be biased, it’s hard not to agree once you’re there. The gentle waves and sneaking coves beckon visitors like a siren’s song, and the people are so hospitable you may end up in someone’s home for family dinner. Brandishing its community spirit, the island is also on track to become the first plastic-free island in the Mediterranean.
Timeless Greek architecture, an invitingly subdued color palette, European design elements, and the glory of Paros—all enjoyed from a sublime, private suite at this hotel. As the hotel’s name is a hybrid between ‘Paros’ and ‘Helios’, the Greek sun god, you are invited to lay out and take in the Mediterranean sun either from your private terrace or at the peaceful pool area of the hotel.

Through Paros’ green and flowery meadows, along hillsides and down into cool valleys, a path of weathered, grey marble flagstones meanders from the pretty hillside village of Lefkes to Prodromos, a small, old, fortified Cycladic settlement. This is the Byzantine Road, built about one thousand years ago as part of the main thoroughfare across Paros from Paroikia to Piso Livadi, at a time when the Aegean Sea was infested with pirates. Today, the Byzantine Road offers a lovely and only mildly strenuous amble that covers 3.5 kilometers, crossing the island’s interior. Departure to Lefkes. Visit of this lovely village and then time to start the exploration! Hiking until Prodromos village (duration: approximately 1 hour). Upon arrival in Prodromos, a light «mezze» with refreshment will be offered in a traditional tavern.

Of Greece’s thousands of islands, none is more glamorized than Santorini. Dramatic cliffs formed from a volcanic eruption are dotted with white-washed villages, where labyrinthine stairways always lead to a jaw-dropping vista. The island’s popularity means there is world-class cuisine to be enjoyed, even if it’s as simple as the catch of the day at a local taverna. However good the menu is, the most memorable part of dinner is likely to be the view of the sun setting into the caldera.
At Grace Hotel, your days are spent enjoying sunsets from your private perch in Imerovigli or sailing through the sapphire waters of the Aegean Sea. Directly from your hotel, you can get out on a hike along the fabled Caldera coastline where stunning views over Santorini await.
