Known as one of the largest antique markets in the world, with more than seven hectares, the flea market of Saint-Ouen is one of the best places to go for shopping in Paris, as well as being part of the city's history and patrimony. There are more than 2000 boutiques spread out into 16 markets, spilling over into several surrounding streets, selling antique jewelry, furniture, old books, records, vintage clothes...and much more. Each market has its own mood: the picturesque, pastoral setting in Vernaison, the small pavilions covered by wisteria on the rue Paul Bert, the tree-filled patios in the Malassis market, and the covered aisles of the Serpette market.

This morning, meet your private guide and driver in the hotel lobby for a day trip to the Palace of Versailles.
Originally constructed as a hunting lodge in 1623, it was eventually replaced by a small château that eventually grew into the palace as we know it today. It quickly became the favorite royal residence and in 1682, the monarch moved the seat of his court and government to Versailles, making the palace the de facto capital of France.
With your guide, you will learn about the royal ongoings of pre-Revolutionary France and hear the stories that were once only known to the nobles that were specially invited to Versailles.
