The weather in Nice and Èze during the month of May is typically pleasant and mild, making it an excellent time to visit this charming coastal city.
As the month progresses, temperatures gradually increase, with average highs reaching around 20°C (68°F) and average lows hovering at about 13°C (55°F). Towards the end of May, daytime temperatures can even rise to the mid-20s Celsius (mid-70s Fahrenheit). Visitors can expect plenty of sunshine, with an average of 8-9 hours per day, perfect for outdoor activities and sightseeing.
May is generally a dry month, with only 5-6 days of rain on average, and when showers do occur, they are usually brief and light. Although the Mediterranean Sea is still a bit cool for swimming, with an average water temperature of about 17°C (63°F), some visitors might find it refreshing!

This ancient walled town is one of the liveliest on the Riviera, with a relaxed beachy feel, a thriving super-yacht port and a gorgeous historical center with narrow cobbled streets.
Set between Nice and Cannes on the Mediterranean coast, Antibes is less ostentatious than its famous neighbors, with a rich historical heritage and unassuming charm that will appeal to travelers seeking authenticity over glitz. When you’re not soaking up the sunshine on the beaches peppering the coast, you can explore the city’s impressive array of heritage sites. These include the ruins of Roman aqueducts and the beguiling old quarter, with its medieval ramparts, 12th-century cathedral and age-old lanes dotted with sidewalk cafes, trendy bars and designer boutiques.
You will also enjoy a visit of the Picasso Museum, housed in the beautiful Grimaldi Castle, a listed historical monument. Perched on a hill overlooking the Nice hinterland in southeastern France, Saint-Paul-de-Vence is a quaint village dating back to the Middle Ages. This typical Provençal town is surrounded by its scenset defensive walls and features cobblestone streets dotted with ornate statues, decorative fountains and beautiful 16th-century buildings. Begin your tour at the Colombe d'Or Inn, (which is renowned for hosting and displaying the works of numerous famous artists) before visiting the neighboring washhouse (dating back to 1859) and the well-known Café de la Place. Passing through the enormous arched royal gate you will enter the medieval town where you can follow the Rue Grande through the village and past some lovely shops, art galleries, and museums. En route you will find a number of impressive historic attractions including the Old Well, the Grande Fountain (built in 1615) and the Place du Château, which is home to a 13th-century Romanesque church and the 17th-century White Penitents Chapel.
