Paris

Paris is a city, a feeling, a lifestyle, and an inspiration. One of the most beautiful cities on earth, where an afternoon spent getting lost in the beauty of one of its famous monuments or strolling its quintessential cobblestone streets is a gift even the most seasoned local will cherish. Known for its incredible shopping, museums, haute cuisine and people watching, Paris is a symbol of polished luxury. However, some of the city's greatest pleasures are its humble ones: a simple brasserie, quiet courtyards, or a freshly baked baguette. While every quarter has its own personality, no matter where you find yourself, the city of lights will always charm you with its rich culture and history, and beckon you to return time and time again.

  • Robert et Louise: Come here to get down and dirty! Steak, duck confit & a long wine list are the star of the show at this venue with its decór of wood beams & stone walls
  • Café de la Nouvelle Mairie: The café’s simply-executed bistrot cuisine is well-sourced and agreeable: oeufs mayonnaise, chicken liver terrines studded with grapes, and hearty Angus steaks for pressure-free meals on long summer evenings. Days 10 - 14: Your Time in Athens
🏛️
A Tour of the Acropolis

The Acropolis is the most important ancient site in the Western world. Crowned by the Parthenon, it stands sentinel over Athens, visible from almost everywhere within the city. Its monuments and sanctuaries of white Pentelic marble gleam in the midday sun and gradually take on a honey hue as the sun sinks, while at night they stand brilliantly illuminated above the city. A glimpse of this magnificent sight can not fail to exalt your spirit.

The Acropolis became a World Heritage-listed site in 1987. The Museum was founded to exhibit all the significant finds from the Sacred Rock and its foothills. It was designed by architect Bernard Tschumi with Michael Photiadis and inaugurated in the summer of 2009. The Museum hosts its collections across three levels, as well as in the archaeological excavation that lies at its foundations.

Important Note:
The walk up the Acropolis Hill is part of the experience of visiting this incredible ancient site. Consider the astounding number of people who have walked the same path through millennia. In fact, all the buildings you see on the Acropolis were built or rebuilt during the 500-300 B.C. As a result, the marble steps are very shiny and slick.

Don’t forget to wear a pair of comfortable walking shoes and absolutely avoid wearing flip flops. Sunblock, sunglasses, and a hat are a must. Lastly, don’t forget to bring a water bottle and lots of energy!
