This morning, get on your international flight to Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Game of Thrones helped to put Croatia on the tourist map, but savvy travelers have been visiting this Balkan gem for years. A city's museums and restaurants rival those in Paris or London, but the underlying spirit of the old city is a refreshing change from its Western European neighbors. Outside of the city, Croatia is one of the most biodiverse countries in Europe. Take your pick from limestone caverns, technicolor lakes, and the paradisal Adriatic islands.
A chauffeur will meet you as you exit the airport for a private transfer between Dubrovnik Airport and your first hotel, Hotel Bellevue.

After you've settled into your hotel, it's time to explore!
Famed for its sheer beauty, glorious history of a one-time republic, and majestic ramparts, Dubrovnik righteously bears the title of “Pearl of the Adriatic”. The city center is filled with famous landmarks, so it's more like a giant open-air museum instead of a city (it's also a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
You'll make stops at Europe's oldest pharmacy hidden behind a monastery, a palace honoring the mighty dukes of Dubrovnik, and of course the medieval city walls, some of the best preserved in all of Europe. And no tour of Dubrovnik would be complete without some handpicked stops at iconic filming locations from the show Game of Thrones.

The rest of the afternoon has been left for you to explore and enjoy Dubrovnik at your own leisure.
Why we love it for you: Hotel Bellevue, strikingly set on a 30m high cliff on Miramare Bay and carved into a cliffside, with floor-to-ceiling windows revealing the vast Adriatic, boasts some of the most spectacular panoramas of the Dalmatian coast. It is just a 10-minute walk down to the mesmerizing medieval city centre. Which means you have the best of both worlds. At the base of the cliffs is a pebble beach that beckons you to lie on a sun lounge – there’s not far to go when you’re in the mood to lie back and soak up the rays of the Mediterranean sun.
A short, half an hour driving distance from Dubrovnik, Arboretum Trsteno provides a blissful contrast to the bustling summer days of the region's jewel. Actually, this should come as no surprise, given that it was exactly for this reason that a noble family established their estate here back in the 16th century – to enjoy their summers away from the heated stone of the Old Town and immerse in the refreshing cool of nature, inspiring views of the Elaphite islands, and no one but birds in vicinity. Having asked ship captains to bring back seeds and plants from their distant travels to enrich the expansive gardens, the family set foundation for what is today the oldest Arboretum in this part of the world, famous for its impressive Asian plane trees, over 500 years old.
This special cooking class starts with an easy stroll through the magical Trsteno Arboretum. You will later cook in a chef's house - a typical Dubrovnik one, with lots of stone, a beautiful terrace and a lively garden where you will pick the veggies for your cooking class.

Slightly smaller than Connecticut, Montenegro is living proof that great things do come in small packages. Hidden coves and paradisical beaches line the coast from top to bottom, made even more picturesque by the backdrop of limestone mountains. Alpine and lakeside villages are just as quaint today as they were 200 years ago, made all the more charming by the locals and their knack for welcoming visitors with open arms and endless food.
Your private English-speaking driver will greet you at the lobby of your hotel to transport you in a luxury vehicle to the next trip destination, Montenegro.
The transfer is just over an hour of driving time, but we'll break it up with a worthwhile pitstop for an authentic taste of Montenegrin wine.

Why we love it for you: The Lazure Historical Building was built in the 18th century. During the Venetian Republic rule in Kotor bay, the historical complex called Lazaret used to serve as a main hospital for the bay area. Later, in the 19-20th century the Lazaret became an Austro-Hungarian military post, and during the Yugoslavia period it was used as a children’s summer camp. Now it is neatly renovated and brought back to life as a small boutique hotel.
