Dear [Name] - Here is what we have in mind for your trip to Croatia & Montenegro!
The Dalmatian Coast acts as the confluence between southern Croatia and Montenegro's island-dotted coastline and the azure Adriatic Sea. Here, you'll find nature’s lush playground with its picture-perfect towns and historical treasures. In short, you'd be hard-pressed to find somewhere more dreamlike and this is a trip you'll be gushing about for years to come.
Split, Croatia | 2 nights | Fermai Heritage Hotel
Dubrovnik, Croatia | 4 nights | Hotel Excelsior
Portonovi, Montenegro | 5 nights | One & Only Portonovi
Game of Thrones helped to put Croatia on the tourist map, but savvy travelers have been visiting this Balkan gem for years. A city's museums and restaurants rival those in Paris or London, but the underlying spirit of the old city is a refreshing change from its Western European neighbors. Outside of the city, Croatia is one of the most biodiverse countries in Europe. Take your pick from limestone caverns, technicolor lakes, and the paradisal Adriatic islands.
A chauffeur will meet you as you exit the airport for a private transfer between Split Airport and your first hotel.
Arrive in Split, check in and relax.
Why we love it for you: A graceful boutique property is situated in a historic building from the early 1900s in Split city center. Its elegantly furnished rooms and suites embody a warm design, airy and light feel and renowned local hospitality. With modern and Art Nouveau details, this heritage hotel is a haven away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The second-largest city in Croatia (after its capital Zagreb), Split sprawls along a peninsula, jutting dramatically into the Adriatic. As with the country’s other waterfront towns, picturesque beaches abound, but Split stands apart for its fortress-like Diocletian’s Palace, an ancient complex built in the 4th century AD. Split is easily accessible from the Croatian Islands and a good jumping off point for exploring by boat.
Split is a walkable city – stroll the promenade and self-explore!

Your driver will greet you at the lobby of the hotel for a private transfer to Dubrovnik. As always, we've planned for unique cultural stops along the way.
On your drive from Split today, visit the small coastal town of Ston. Once an important military fort of the Dubrovnik Republic, it features impressive 5 km-long medieval walls and 4000-years old saltpans.
The Mali Ston bay is also famous for a succulent oyster! Enjoy a private oyster farm tour with a local farmer, learn how the oysters are grown and taste them fresh from the sea!
Why we love it for you: With a long-standing tradition dating back to 1913, this member of the SLH is an iconic landmark hotel. Housed in a former royal villa and facing the majestic Dubrovnik ramparts, the Excelsior enjoys the most enviable location in the town. Spectacular seaside settings, nonchalant elegance of its sumptuously designed rooms and flawless service make it a prime Dubrovnik luxury address.

On your first full day here, choose to walk around the old city of Dubrovnik, hike up to a viewpoint for sunset and dinner, kayak to a nearby islet, take the ferry to a national park, sit in a fine restaurant and people watch, or simply indulge in the wonderful spa of your hotel.
However you wish to spend your day, we are here to make recommendations and reservations for you!
Walk around the ancient walls of the capital. One of our favorite spots to watch the sunset & a hike with a view over the adriatic is on top of the Dubrava observation point. We recommend combining this experience with dinner at a restaurant with a view.
If you are looking for a tour to do on your own we recommend kayaking. You can hire kayaks from the main port of Dubrovnik and take them all around Lokrum island (a several hour excursion).
There is a public ferry running from the old town as well that you might enjoy!

Famed for its sheer beauty, glorious history of a one-time republic, and majestic ramparts, Dubrovnik righteously bears the title of “Pearl of the Adriatic”. The city center is filled with famous landmarks, so it's more like a giant open-air museum instead of a city (it's also a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
You'll make stops at Europe's oldest pharmacy hidden behind a monastery, a palace honoring the mighty dukes of Dubrovnik, and of course the medieval city walls, some of the best preserved in all of Europe. And no tour of Dubrovnik would be complete without some handpicked stops at iconic filming locations from the show Game of Thrones.

Slightly smaller than Connecticut, Montenegro is living proof that great things do come in small packages. Hidden coves and paradisical beaches line the coast from top to bottom, made even more picturesque by the backdrop of limestone mountains. Alpine and lakeside villages are just as quaint today as they were 200 years ago, made all the more charming by the locals and their knack for welcoming visitors with open arms and endless food.
Your private English-speaking driver will greet you at the lobby of your hotel to transport you in a luxury vehicle to the next trip destination, Montenegro.
The transfer is just over an hour of driving time, but we'll break it up with a worthwhile pitstop for an authentic taste of Croatia.

On your way down to Montenegro, make a pit stop to experience a different side of Croatia. Away from the tourism and grandeur of Dubrovnik, you'll get to really sink into Croatian traditions of the Konavle Valley through food.
You'll stop at a family farm in a gorgeous setting and join your hosts to source ingredients right from the farm to prepare a typical dish: Peka. The word peka comes from peći, which means to roast or bake. Over an open wood fire you will prepare your own peka, a blend of vegetables and meat drizzled with olive oil, sprinkled with herbs, and then baked to perfection under a bell-like dome.
Share this unforgettable meal with your host family at a beautiful table on the estate.
