In January and February, Costa Rica experiences its dry season, characterized by warm and sunny weather in most regions. The weather during these months is generally pleasant, with temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to low 90s Fahrenheit (mid-20s to low 30s Celsius) in coastal areas and lower elevations. In the Central Valley and mountainous regions, temperatures tend to be slightly cooler, ranging from the mid-60s to low 80s Fahrenheit (mid-teens to high 20s Celsius). Rainfall is typically minimal, especially in the Pacific coastal areas, making it an excellent time to explore the country's beautiful beaches, national parks, and outdoor activities.
- US Passport holders do not need a visa to visit Costa Rica.
- You must have a valid return ticket and at least 6 months of validity on your passport from your exit date.
