The temperatures remain warm and humid, ranging from the mid-70s to mid-80s Fahrenheit (mid-20s to low 30s Celsius). It's advisable to pack lightweight rain gear and plan indoor activities accordingly.

US nationals do not require an entry visa to Costa Rica. However, you must have a return ticket to exit Costa Rica within 180 days.

It is not necessary to tip everywhere, but here are some good rules of thumb:

Embark on a journey through this natural sanctuary, where you'll discover a unique ecosystem of eerie "walking trees" that thrive in salty water. This rich refuge is home to hundreds of birds, reptiles, and mammals. Whether you grab a pair of binoculars or simply keep your eyes open, there's an abundance of wildlife to spot in the lush green surroundings.

The Tamarindo Estuary is one of the largest estuaries in Guanacaste Coast, also part of Las Baulas National Park, which is famous for being one of the nesting spots for Leatherback and Pacific Green Turtles. The tour offers a unique opportunity to observe the generous wildlife living in this oasis. This is a very rich ecosystem, with interaction of dozens of animals and trees that filters water to and from the sea thanks to mangrove forest. You'll enjoy the estuary on a comfortable motor boat that will lead you through this protected sanctuary for wildlife. Today, please wear hiking shoes or sneakers, comfortable clothes, mosquito repellent, sunscreen and bring a raincoat.

In this tour, you'll visit both the Arenal Hanging Bridges and the La Fortuna Waterfall.

First, you'll head to the hanging bridges that stretch deep into the magical jungle. This reserve consists of 600 acres of protected land; you'll walk a 2 mile circuit with 16 bridges ranging from 16 to 328 feet and up to 196 feet high. There is also an optional additional trail to a small waterfall to get some priceless pictures. This spectacular piece of primary rainforest is home to many species of birds, plants, reptiles, mammals, and insects which your naturalist guide will help you to locate among the dense vegetation.

Next, you'll visit La Fortuna Waterfall. Hike down towards the base of the fall and then enjoy the majestic beauty of the waterfall and its surrounding area, jumping in for a refreshing swim. The reserve is a 210-acre nature reserve located four miles away from La Fortuna town. A 230-feet-high sparkling spectacle, your expert guides will lead the way down a 530-step pathway framed by exotic, emerald vegetation. The cascade is fed by the river with the same name, which travels through the rainforest until plunging from a 230-feet cliff into a bright blue pool. As soon as you reach the bottom, you can either sit and enjoy the magnificent nature sounds and sights or take a refreshing dip at the waterfall pond and crystal-clear river stream next to it. The tour will end with a delicious traditional lunch at “La Finquita” Restaurant.
