No matter the time of year, you’ll want to have clothes for both warm and cool weather, as the temperature changes dramatically between night and day. Dressing in layers is a must for outdoors activities in the Atacama Desert, and this means a separate purpose for each layer: an interior layer, one insulating layer and one exterior layer. Combining these three layers effectively controls heat transmission and keeps you warm and protected. Clothing will vary depending the season, but it is always a good idea to bring a little bit more.
