There are no activities planned for your first full day in Belize, and the time is yours to simply relax, and enjoy the amazing facilities offered at your resort.
While there may be Balinese-style cabanas and a Polynesian tiki decor, the Turtle Inn is purely Caribbean at its core. The entire property feels like walking through a retro movie set, which is to be expected from a hotel designed by a renowned filmmaker. The thatched cottages with private verandahs make perfect hideaways, and the beach is so close that you can practically roll out of your hammock after an afternoon nap and have your toes in the sand.

Colibri Two-Bedroom Villa
Many adventures await you at Turtle Inn, and through the resort you can book experiences like scuba diving, snorkeling, local village visits, Mayan ruins, and more.
The Belize Barrier Reef can be split into an Inner Reef and Outer Reef, and you'll see them both over two days on two separate boating trips. The Inner Reef is a lagoon tropical wetland, with seagrass and manatees. The Outer Reef is an ocean atoll, so a completely different ecosystem from what you'll see in the Inner Reef. Enjoy them both!

During one evening, a private sunset cruise is arranged.
The sunset over the distant Maya Mountains is nothing short of spectacular and there is no better place to see it than from the calm waters of the Placencia Lagoon. The cruise generally lasts for about an hour and a half and includes hors d'oeuvres and wines from Francis Ford Coppola Winery. Stay on the lookout for dolphins and manatees that are often visible from the deck of the boat!

Midway through your journey, you will stop to visit the Cocksbomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary. This unique sanctuary in southern Belize covers an area of about 150 square miles of tropical forest, and is the world's only Jaguar Preserve. Declared a Forest Preserve in 1984 and finally a Jaguar Preserve in 1986, the park is the culmination of many years of work and perseverance by individuals and national and international organizations.
Inclusions: A boxed lunch will be provided.
