Explorations

At Explora Patagonia, the Andes mountains are your playground. Below are a few suggested activities, but you may read more about what's on offer here.

🦙
Estepa Patagónica

Travel through the eastern sector of the park combining stretches in a van with short walks. This sector is mainly characterized by the presence of animals such as guanacos, pumas and a diversity of birds, as well as its extensive pampas, typical of the Patagonian steppe. First, you'll visit the Nordenskjöld Lake viewpoint and the Paine Grande waterfall, then you'll travel by van to the Los Cisnes Lagoon and finally to the Amarga Lagoon.

🌲
Pampa

Visit the south-west area of the park, making various stops and short walks that will allow us to discover important landmarks in the history of Patagonia and the national park. Cross various ecosystems associated with higher humidity, such as the banks of the Serrano River or the Lenga and Ñirre forests. You will have the opportunity to see various types of waterfowl, while you make stops to observe the lake and Gray Glacier, share a tea and enjoy one of the best views of the Paine massif.

❄️
Lago Pehoé

This walk amongst orchids and ñirres offers incredible views of Pehoé Lake, the Paine mountain range and the Paine River in the distance. Exit the main road following the shore of Pehoé Lake and ascend to the triangular rock marked on the map.

Your Stay: Explora Torres del Paine

Why we love it for you? Explora in Torres del Paine was designed as the perfect haven for exploring the region’s wondrous geography and wildlife. Besides the favored location inside Torres del Paine National Park, this lodge’s architecture was planned in a way that interferes the least possible with its natural surroundings. It is an extension of the territory.

El Calafate, Argentina
🚗
Private Transfer

From Torres del Paine, greeting by your host and private transfer to El Calafate (approx. 5 hours). Assistance will be provided with crossing the border.

El Calafate, home to the Perito Moreno Glacier, is the beating heart of Patagonia with outstanding natural beauty. Enjoy a full day at the national park, as well as time at leisure to enjoy Patagonian dishes. For those who cannot hike, we can arrange for a boat tour along the glacier instead of the ice trek, which is strenuous on the knees.

Glaciarium Museum & Bar

Your host will take you to the Glaciarium museum. The Glaciarium is a modern museum dedicated to the glaciers of the area. It features an ice bar in the basement where we recommend getting drinks in parkas. The museum and bar closes in the evening.

🏔️
Perito Moreno Glacier Park

Spend the next full day at Los Glaciares National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its keynote Perito Moreno Glacier. Walk along the 4km of catwalks facing the glacier. Cruise along Perito Moreno, then ice trek in and around the huge moulins, caves, crevasses and ice formations of incredible shades of blue.

⛴️
Estancia Cristina & Upsala Glacier

Embark on a boat trip from Punta Bandera harbor in the morning across Lake Argentino into the Upsala Channel with views of icebergs and glaciers. Disembark at Estancia Cristina and hop onto 4×4 vehicles to take you through the Feruglio Mountains. Trek over terrain characterized by glacial erosion, until reaching the Upsala Glacier Lookout. End your day with a tour of the remote estate.

Your Stay: Eolo Lodge

Why we love it for you? With over 10,000 acres of land, the best part of Eolo is that you feel like you’re in the most remote part of Patagonia but with the convenience of a nearby airport. Days can be spent horseback riding the seemingly endless grounds or trekking along glaciers when feeling adventurous, but taking in the views of the steppes from your bedroom window is just as gratifying. In the restaurant, all-inclusive includes the very best of Argentina, from the ingredients to the wine.
