Padaria

Our latest addition, the Padaria is a converted traditional algarvian house of 50 m² that we remodelled into a spacious suite, with separated sleeping and lounge area that can accommodate extra bed and baby cot. Holiday & boho chic vibes in our Padaria which has the traditional rustic features of the Algarvian houses, solid oak windows, handmade terracotta floor, and a sunny private patio with hammock and outdoor shower to fully relax in. The family suite’s open plan overlooks the patio with large bay windows from where flows the bright algarvian light, both in the living room and the bathroom where the large round free standing bathtub invites for family or romantic baths The perfect set up to chill out and unwind – barefoot luxury for those seeking sun, tranquillity and privacy.

Baluarte

Our two baluarte suites are our largest suites with c. 65sqm, a vast private patio, and a saltwater pool. Each of them has 2 separate rooms that can sleep 4 adults in total – they are the ideal choice for family holidays. Beautifully inserted into the baluarte walls, the landmark mirador of the old city, those spacious suites have the cosiness of the perfect privacy. Facing the antique Casa Mãe master house, the suites’ contemporary design contrasts with the antique walls & casa combining unique Algarvian atmospheres mixing minimalist & timeless features. Local & natural materials, together with delicate craft details give a warm boho chic feeling to the interiors. Their craft features bring comfort & summery lightness with solid oak furniture & walk-in closets, handmade terracotta floor, rustic woven wall rugs, soft light from our terracotta pending lamps, hammock… all in the details. The suites’ architecture makes the most of the bright Algarvian light with 3-meter height sliding doors that are facing patios & pool enhancing the continuity between the suite interiors and the outside spaces. Expect also to see the sky from your walk-in rain shower, and a large tub platform inviting for family or romantic baths. The perfect set up to chill out & unwind and our sole suites for larger families – the choice for those seeking sun, tranquillity and privacy, barefoot luxury.

Superior

With approximately 27m², and 12m² of balcony or varanda, the Superiors are generous rooms. The rooms feature contemporary and minimalist style with much local context, with floors in handmade terracotta sundried in the Algarve, solid oak bespoke furniture and an open bathroom with a large rain shower and free standing bathtub. With views over the gardens facing West, their spacious terrace with its hammock and lounger is the perfect spot to catch afternoon sun or get a swinging nap! As with all our rooms, there’s king bed with natural cocomat mattress, plush bathrobes, natural skincare products by Oliofora, and design pieces made by local artisans exclusively for Casa Mãe.

Poco Suite

With about 30m², the elegant and sophisticated Poço suite is all about freshness and lightness. This suite, with its bed facing a large French balcony, its separate dressing corner, and its summery furniture has its very own charm and character. A great choice for those looking for a romantic getaway!

Pergola Suite

Overlooking the pool and our gardens, our Pergola Suite combines beautiful views with elegant and cosy floral interiors. With its 40sqm, the suite has generous volumes, and has been designed for its guests to fully enjoy the view and the bright algarvian sunlight with its king size bed and sofa overseeing the south facing French balcony. The spacious bathroom brings even more cosiness to the suite with its extra large round bathtub and vast walk in rainshower. The light flows there as well reflected by the floor to ceiling mirrors.

Standard

The most basic option in our Jogo da Bola building, the Standard room has a spacious feeling with a large terrace with hammock and floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The room features contemporary and minimalist style with much local context, with floors in handmade terracotta sundried in the Algarve, and solid oak bespoke furniture and an open bathroom with a generous rain shower. The verandas on the first floor feel like a protected extension of the inside, with privacy ensured by a façade of wooden panels inspired by the traditional Algarvian reixas. On the second floor, the terrace is open to the blue sky. As with all our rooms, there’s king bed with natural cocomat mattress, plush bathrobes, natural skincare products by Oliofora, and design pieces made by local artisans exclusively for Casa Mãe.

Miradouro Suite

With 27m², the miradouro suite is our most surprising and charming one – its king size bed stands on a platform while its very spacious bathroom installed in what used to be a kitchen features a former chimney and a large and comfy free standing bathtub. The perfect choice for those looking for cosiness and of course - for bathroom lovers!

Our Deluxe rooms are the most spacious in Jogo da Bola, with views over the garden or the street. With over 30m² of space to relax, including a 15m² balcony (2nd floor) or veranda (1st floor). The rooms feature contemporary and minimalist style with much local context, with floors in handmade terracotta sundried in the Algarve, solid oak bespoke furniture and an open bathroom with a large rain shower and free standing bathtub. With their large balconies, hammock and loungers, they are ideal for a romantic getaway or a small family with a baby. Standard Premium

Standard Premium rooms are located on the upper floor. The room features contemporary and minimalist style with much local context, with floors in handmade terracotta sundried in the Algarve, solid oak bespoke furniture and an open bathroom with a spacious rain shower and free standing bathtub, With approximately 24m², and 10m² of balcony, they are facing the street with view over the roofs of Lagos and a hammock to fully enjoy morning sunbathing! Esplanada Suite

Our Esplanada suite, with its 37m² features a separate small living room that can accommodate a baby cot (see below). The two separate spaces with their four windows overlooking the pool and the terrace of Casa Mãe enjoy a bright luminosity. The elegant interiors combine Portuguese antiquities, luxury fabrics and contemporary pieces creating a comfortable and refined atmosphere.
